On the need for being observant

You could blow me down with a feather...

My day to day life revolves around detail. I'm the kind of bloke that notices that the X Factor is still using autotune, and had been using it last year, too. I notice if a guitar has one string ever so slightly out of tune. I notice incorrect usage of the English Language like somebody's smacked me across the chops with a half smoked Atlantic salmon.

And yet, up until Saturday gone, I had not noticed that there are at least three sizes of Tornegoiva battery, and very probably more.

It happened like this...

On Wednesday night, a mate came into the studio sporting his brand new "bought in the TECC sale" Tornado XL and XL carto, dragging on it like a Mexican freedom fighter with a top rate cigar. It was all white. Looked lovely, but seemed rather large. I put that down to it being white (black being slimming and all that).

Then, on Saturday, my own white Tornado XL batteries arrived. I put two of them on charge, and decided to ape the white look with a third. Once I'd put it together, it stood next to my all-black Jany eGo XL setup, which it dwarfed. Attached Image

From left to right - the TECC/TW Tornado XL, the Janty eGo XL and a standard eGo, all with XL cartos.

To say I kicked myself is putting it mildly. I simply had not noticed the difference between the two higher capacity batteries.

Other than their size, and the fact that the Tornado one does seem to outlast the Janty one (both made in the same factory, too) by a small margin, there are no real differences. I'm more than happy with all of my Tornegoiva kit - those cartos are just lush!

Just thought I'd share.

Now you know why the auto MEGA Tornado battery and MEGA Carto is not an ideal starter device for the Pub going cig smokers!! It's a jaw breaker :cigarette:
Nah - was dragging on one driving all over the place 'tother day... primer drag, then heaven.
