Background, and kudos to Abe
Since mid-2009, I’ve posted a review of each juice I’ve tried on the Liberty Flights Forum. In all have reviewed 41 juices supplied by Liberty Flights, and 61 juices from other vendors. Given that many of my reviews of other vendors’ products have been very positive, I think Abe deserves real recognition for allowing someone to post them on his forum (most vendors wouldn’t).
The links to the sub-forums in question are:

Other Vendors’ Juices:

I intend to keep posting my individual juice reviews on the LF forum, but thought it might be nice to produce some “collected reviews” for vendors I’d reviewed a significant number of juices from.
The second set of reviews is from Paradise Vape UK, run by Jimmy in Ayrshire, Scotland. Jimmy started up business in early 2010 and does his own flavour mixes. Overall he has been good to deal with and has produced some very decent tobacco flavours...
Paradise Vape UK "Marlib"
July 08, 2010
This is another review in series of reviews tobacco flavours from a new (to me) supplier. Jimmy tells he buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself.
In this case the "Marlib" (I'm making the obvious assumption about the name ) - labeled as 36mg - was used in a TW 4075 enabled Screwdriver Mk2. I've vaped my way through about 3 or 4ml of the liquid so far.
The liquid came packaged in a simple (but sealed) "dumpy" plastic squeezy bottle (not childproof) with no ingredients list and an absence of safety warnings on the bottles. Jimmy has told me he plans to sort these issues out when he has sourced supplies.
The liquid is a definite "orange" (slightly pale) colour and very clear. The liquid smells of some tobacco, with overtones of spicy fruit - a bit "teacake" but not one that has been toasted . The liquid flows very well and really sinks into the cart.
When vaped, the liquid has a dry and "just a bit toasted" tobacco taste with some sweetness and a "juicy dried fruitiness" - just possibly with a hint of nuts. The aftertaste is, to me, "tobacco teacake with nuts (almonds?)". The liquid leaves a residual sweetness in the mouth, and is more mouth drying than other juices I've tried from PV - as a result, the liquid stands up slightly less well to prolonged heavy use - but I've coped. With a fresh battery the hit is very strong on inhale and good on exhale.
The thick vapour has a "nutty smokey" smell which goes reasonably quickly. This liquid is both like and unlike other Marlboro liquids I've tried - "in the same family" but "of itself" if you get my drift... Not one I'd pick as a "must" for myself, but a good vape which I wouldn't turn down if offered either...
Paradise Vape UK "Flu Cured"
July 13, 2010
This is another review in series of reviews tobacco flavours from a newer supplier. Jimmy tells he buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself.
In this case the "Flu Cured" (I guess from the spelling it has healing powers ) - labelled as 36mg - was used in a TW 4075 enabled Super Six at 4.2v with a freshly filled LF 4075 cart. I've vaped my way through about 3ml of the liquid so far.
As before, the liquid came packaged in a simple (but sealed) "dumpy" plastic squeezy bottle (not childproof) with no ingredients list and an absence of safety warnings on the bottles. Jimmy has told me he plans to sort these issues out when he has sourced supplies.
Liquid is a medium "orange" colour and very clear. The liquid smells very “bitsa” – bits of smoke, bits of tobacco, bits of fruit, bits of vegetation and bits of caramel – the bits add up to quite a nice smell… The liquid flows very well and really sinks into the cart.
When vaped, the liquid has a dry smoke/tobacco taste with hardly any sweetness. The aftertaste is similar and a bit woody. The liquid leaves almost no sweetness in the mouth, but leaves a certain stickiness and is fairly mouth drying. With a fresh battery the hit is good and well-balanced. The thick vapour has a really “smokey" smell which does over-linger.
This liquid is pretty unlike other Flue Cured liquids I've tried (perhaps that why the “e” is missing ) but is a good “dry” vape with some real smokiness to it – more “smoke” than “tobacco” in fact. Overall a decent vape I’d say...
Paradise Vape UK "Golden Virginia"
November 09, 2011
This review is of Paradise Vape UK “Golden Virginia” – supplied in "mostly PG" at a “Extra High” which is listed as 30-36mg…
For this review I used my Touchwod Mini fitted with a 1.5ohm Cisco Low Resistance 306 atomiser AND “old faithful” – my silver Mk1 Screwdriver - fitted with a 1.5ohm Cisco HH.357 901/306 hybrid atomiser...
The liquid came in the same sort of bottle everyone uses (the JOYE/Dekang type of 10ml bottle with a childproof cap) and labeling with safety warnings…
The liquid is a pale gold colour and very clear. The liquid smells of a slightly spicy tobacco and just a bit of fruit and nut. The liquid flows and drips nicely.
When vaped with the LR306 on the Touchwood , the liquid tastes nicely of a fairly dry tobacco with a similarly dry nuttiness. The aftertaste is also dry - pleasingly unsweet in fact - and mainly a tobacco taste. It is also not very sticky and only a little mouth drying. With the Hybrid on the SD, the flavour is more complex – the tobacco is more fully favoured, and there is a noticeable juicy dried fruit as well as a hit of nut. The aftertaste is similar but sweeter (but only overly so). The vapour with both is excellent, with very good hit - biased to inhale - with both atomisers - but the Hybrid is less harsh are more "cig-like". The vapour smells tobacco-ish but the smell is transient.
I like this one - a good tobacco liquid - worth trying with different atomisers to get the best from though
Paradise Vape UK "Winston"
November 13, 2011
This review is of Paradise Vape UK “Winston” – supplied in "mostly PG" at a “Extra High” which is listed as 30-36mg…
For this review I used my Touchwod Mini fitted with a 1.5ohm Cisco Aero Bridgeless LR 510 atomiser...
As usual, liquid came in the same sort of bottle everyone uses (the JOYE/Dekang type of 10ml bottle with a childproof cap) and labeling with safety warnings…
The liquid is a very pale gold colour and nicely clear. The liquid smells of a fairly cig-like tobacco and not much else - possibly some nut? The liquid flows and drips nicely.
When vaped with the Aero on the Touchwood , the liquid tastes of a dry tobacco with a - too me - a hint of "ashtray" (that's a compliment, by the way). The aftertaste is also dry - mainly a tobacco taste and possible a dry nut. It is pleasantly unsticky and only a little mouth drying. The aftertaste is tobacco - and very dry with "ashtray" but not as ashtray as, for example, the original Dekang Winston. The vapour is strong as is the hit. The vapour smells "cig and ashtray" but passes quickly.
I like this one quite a lot - a fairly generic "cig-ish" liquid which stands up to prolonged use...
Paradise Vape UK "Benson Fences"
July 18, 2010
This is another review in series of reviews of tobacco flavours from Paradise Vape UK – based in Scotland. Jimmy tells he buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself.
In this case the "Benson Fences" - labelled as 36mg - was used in a TW 4075 enabled Super Six at 4.2v with a freshly filled LF 4075 cart. I've vaped my way through about 3 or 4ml of the liquid over the weekend.
As always, the liquid came packaged in a simple (but sealed) "dumpy" plastic squeezy bottle (not childproof) with no ingredients list and an absence of safety warnings on the bottles. I hope Jimmy sorts these issues out soon as he has said.
Liquid is a palish orange colour and very clear. The liquid smells somewhat like other “Benson” liquids – like a freshly opened packet of UK Virginia cigs – in this case with a slight fruit overtone… The liquid flows very well and really sinks into the cart.
When vaped, the liquid has a dry tobacco taste – a bit “woody” with almost no sweetness. The aftertaste is also “dry” with a very transient fruit element. The liquid leaves very little sweetness in the mouth, and is remarkable “unsticky” and does not dry the mouth as much as the vast majority of e-juices. With a fresh battery the hit is very good indeed – biased more to inhale than exhale. The thick vapour has a really “dry smoke" smell which vanishes fast..
This liquid compares well with other “Benson” varieties – one of the best in my view. A solid everyday vape with good vapour a hit which stands up to very heavy use. If you like “Benson” liquids, I'd suggest you will probably like this one a lot.
Paradise Vape UK "Dunhill"
October 10, 2010
This review is of one of the tobacco flavours from Paradise Vape UK – based in Scotland. Jimmy buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself.
In this case the "Dunhill" - labelled as “Extra High” which I'm told is around 36mg - was used with two different low resistance atomisers – a LF LR901 fitted to a Mk1 Screwdriver with a Yellow 1000mah Spiderfire 16340 battery, and a LR BE112 atomiser fitted to a Super Super Six with a 900mah Trustfire 14500 battery. I've vaped my way through about 7mlof the liquid so far.
The liquid came packaged in a 10ml “Dekang” style (the liquid is NOT Dekang and the bottle has no identifying marks) plastic squeezy bottle with childproof cap and safety warning but no ingredients list. (Jimmy had promised he would move to childproof bottles and he has delivered on this)
Liquid is a strongish orange colour and very clear. The liquid smells very nice – a distinct “good quality cig” tobacco smell with a juicy dried fruit element. The liquid flows very well and really sinks into the cart.
When vaped, the liquid has a real tobacco taste – dry but with just a touch of of sharp fruity sweetness. With the LR901, the vapour is hotter and the fruit element more noticeable and sweeter than with the BE112 which is cooler and gives a taste which is really close to cig-like – the fruit is there but less sweet. With both atties, the aftertaste is “dry” with a slight fruit element – in neither case is there an overly persistent sweetness. The liquid leaves the mouth a bit sticky and does dry the mouth a bit – but not horribly so... With the LR901the vapour is strong and pretty warm, giving an excellent well-balanced hit. With the LR BE112, the vapour production is, well, immense but cooler, and the hit possibly smoother but still strong and remarkably cig-like – however, the sheer volume of vapour produces a stunning nicotine “rush”... The vapour smells pleasantly of tobacco but doesn't linger.
If it wasn't for the “sticky mouth” element I'd rate this juice “excellent”, as it is, I'd rate it “very good” instead. For me it is better with the LR BE112 than the LR901 because with the BE112 the experience is most “Dunhill”. So – a good vape for the tobacco lover...
Paradise Vape UK "Chocolate"
November 25, 2010
This is a rare beast – a review of a non-tobacco flavour from Prof Beard! This review is of Paradise Vape UK “Chocolate” – supplied at a hefty 36mg…
To make the review even more unusual, I use my “Nuck’s Fistpack” – set to its regulated 3.7v setting rather than a higher one because I also used a Cisco Low Resistance 306 atomiser on it And lastly – shock horror – I DRIPPED instead of using a cart (you have to with this atty).
I won’t comment on the packaging because this was a 5ml “sample” – kindly thrown in with liquids I’d purchased – in a simple 5ml squeezy bottle.
The liquid is a very dark reddish brown, but as clear as anything that colour could be. The liquid smells of a dark but creamy chocolate. The liquid flows and drips nicely.
When vaped, the liquid tastes of a dark chocolate – not a dark as Lindt, something just a tad milkier - and strangely I’m reminded more of a dark chocolate cookie or muffin rather than a chocolate bar. The aftertaste is similar but fairly dry, but not sticky and only a little mouth drying. Unsurprisingly, given the strength and the atomizer used, the hit is magnificent and well balanced between inhale and exhale, with good thick vapour. The vapour smells a bit “cocoa” but and doesn't linger too long.
Overall – not an all day vape for me (but I’ve been vaping it all day today – I left the Old Holburn in the car) – but a very pleasant vape indeed nonetheless
Paradise Vape UK "Lambs Butt"
April 29, 2010
This is my first review in series of reviews of four tobacco flavours from a new (to me) supplier. Jimmy tells he buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself. I've bought four of his tobacco flavours in 10ml size and "Extra high" (30-36mg) strength.
In this case the somewhat ironically named "Lambs Butt" liquid - labeled as 36mg - was used in a TW "pre gazzamiser" 4075 enabled Screwdriver Mk1. I've vaped my way through about 5ml of the liquid so far.
The liquid came packaged in a simple (but sealed) "dumpy" plastic squeezy bottle (not childproof) with no ingredients list and an absence of safety warnings on the bottles. I'd suggest safety warnings at least should be on the label?
Liquid is a "strong gold" colour and nicely clear. The liquid itself has a strong tobacco smell with a hint of "fruitcake" and possibly just a touch of caramel. The liquid flows very well and really sinks into the cart.
When vaped, the liquid has a pronounced tobacco taste - more roll-up than L&B (I've never tasted a Lambs Butt so can't comment there ) with a bit of "light virginia pipe tobacco". The aftertaste is tobacco with the same "fruitcake" as the smell. The liquid leaves a residual, but slight, sweetness in the mouth, but is much less "sticky" and "drying" than many juices. The liquid stands up well to prolonged heavy use. With a fresh battery the hit is excellent on both inhale and exhale. The vapour has a "smokey" and fairly cig-like smell which doesn't hang around overmuch.
Overall, I've really enjoyed this liquid - a good "tobacco liquid"... The liquid will appeal to OKS liquid fans as there is a lot of similarity to the "OKS roll-up tobacco flavours" - it may be that they are using the same source of flavourings - but Jimmy at Paradise Vape doesn't know if that is the case. Lambs Butt is different to OKS L&B I should stress. I'm looking forwards to trying the others, Jimmy has recommended the flue-cured, so that will be next...
Paradise Vape UK "Drum"
July 06, 2010
This is another review in series of reviews tobacco flavours from a new (to me) supplier. Jimmy tells he buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself.
In this case the "Drum" - labeled as 36mg - was used in a TW 4075 enabled Screwdriver Mk2. I've vaped my way through about 3ml of the liquid so far.
The liquid came packaged in a simple (but sealed) "dumpy" plastic squeezy bottle (not childproof) with no ingredients list and an absence of safety warnings on the bottles. Jimmy has told me he plans to sort these issues out when he has sourced supplies.
Liquid is a palish and slightly pink-tinged orange/brown colour and very clear. The liquid smells - remarkable so - like Drum tobacco - there is tobacco, and sort fruit and floral notes. The liquid flows very well and really sinks into the cart.
When vaped, the liquid has a pronounced "Drum-like" tobacco taste - good, slightly sweet and scented tobacco with a touch of light fruit and possible just a hint of caramel. The aftertaste is fruity tobacco and fairly sweet - but not in a sugary way. The liquid leaves a residual sweetness in the mouth, but, like the first PV liquid I reviewed, is much less "sticky" and "drying" than many juices. The liquid stands up REALLY well to prolonged heavy use. With a fresh battery the hit is excellent on inhale and remarkable on exhale. The (very strong) vapour has a "smokey" and "scented roll-up" smell which dissipates reasonably quickly.
I've really enjoyed this liquid - a good "tobacco liquid" and one which will appeal to OKS Drum users - this is very different in many ways, but similarly satisfying...
Paradise Vape UK "Hickory Tobacco"
November 30, 2010
After my rare aberration with the Chocolate, normality is restored! This review is of Paradise Vape UK “Hickory Tobacco” – supplied at a “Extra High” which I believe is usually 36mg…
To keep the review interesting, I used my “Nuck’s Fistpack” – set to its regulated 3.7v setting rather than a higher one because I also used a Cisco Low Resistance 306 atomiser on it (and of course direct dripping) AND “old reliable” – my silver Mk1 Screwdriver fitted (and looking odd) with a black 1.7ohm LR901 and a fresh battery and cart.
The liquid came in the same sort of bottle everyone uses (the JOYE/Dekang type of 10ml bottle with a childproof cap) and labeling with safety warnings…
The liquid is dark brown, but clear. The liquid smells of tobacco and a resin-ish woody odour. (I have no idea what Hickory smells like – it may well smell of that) The liquid flows and drips nicely. When vaped with the LR901 on the SD , the liquid tastes much as it smells – a good tobacco element with a very strong wood/resin overtone. The aftertaste is mainly resin and a “burnt wood smoke” - pretty dry, and not very sticky and just a little mouth drying. With the Cisco 306 on the Fistpack, the flavour is less complex – the tobacco is still there, as is the resin, but the wood seems less “smokey”. The aftertaste is similar but perhaps is less “burnt wood” and more resin. The vapour with both is excellent, with the LR901 the hit is good and biased slightly to the exhale, with the 306 the hit is stronger on the inhale… The vapour smells like someone is burning nice wood and hangs about a bit.
When I first tried this I thought maybe I didn’t like it much, but it has grown on me – I DO like it, but it gets a bit much (due to the strength of flavour) if vaped for a prolonged period…
Since mid-2009, I’ve posted a review of each juice I’ve tried on the Liberty Flights Forum. In all have reviewed 41 juices supplied by Liberty Flights, and 61 juices from other vendors.

Paradise Vape UK "Benson Fences"
July 18, 2010
This is another review in series of reviews of tobacco flavours from Paradise Vape UK – based in Scotland. Jimmy tells he buys in his nic liquid and flavours from China and mixes them himself.

The reason I chose them? - 5ml bottles and a free sample of something completely random that I might not have chosen plus a few spare cheap ego-t attys and batteries.
I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far, about 15 different juices, B+H was my first all dayer, overtaken a week later by my current one - Flu Cured.
Service on the first 5-6 orders I made was exemplary, the most recent was not, I hope James gets back on track soon.
I'm glad to see that the prof (with far more experience of juices than my limited excursion) has given overall favourable opinions on everything..... maybe not the best of anything but pretty damn close! That's good enough for me as I find out what I like best.
I will have to try some other Flu Cured for comparison when I next order cartos n stuff elsewhere.
Thanks for the post Prof.
