Enjuice - Collected Juice Reviews

Posted by prof beard , 23 January 2012 · 744 views

Background, and kudos to Abe

Since mid-2009, I’ve posted a review of each juice I’ve tried on the Liberty Flights Forum. In all have reviewed 41 juices supplied by Liberty Flights, and 61 juices from other vendors. Given that many of my reviews of other vendors’ products have been very positive, I think Abe deserves real recognition for allowing someone to post them on his forum (most vendors wouldn’t).

The links to the sub-forums in question are:

Liberty Flights Juices:
http://www.liberty-f....php?board=16.0

Other Vendors’ Juices:
http://www.liberty-f....php?board=17.0

I intend to keep posting my individual juice reviews on the LF forum, but thought it might be nice to produce some “collected reviews” for vendors I’d reviewed a significant number of juices from.

The third set of reviews is from ENJuice. They are based in Lanarkshire and use EU-sourced PG/VG and flavourings, and either EU or Chinese-sourced nicotine depending on the range in question. (They also make Liberty Flights XO range for Abe)

Warning: These reviews are OLD and it may well be that the flavour of the juices in question has changed over time!

ENJuice Silver Supreme Premium
September 06, 2010

This review is of a liquid from ENJuice - “Silver Supreme Premium”. ENJuice Premium liquids are offered in PG/VG mix, PG or VG versions – in this case I opted for PG/VG mix...

In this case the liquid - labelled as 24mg - was used in a Screwdriver Mk1 with two different atomisers – a TW 4075 with a freshly filled LF 4075 cart, and an LF LR901 with a freshly filled LF 901 cart. Both atomisers were “broken in” before the review. The SD had a freshly charged Kaidomain 1000mah protected 16340 battery – so vaping at around 4.2v. I've vaped my way through about 5ml of the liquid over the last two days.

The liquid came packaged in a 10ml glass bottle with a dropper insert (but also with a 5ml plastic bottle to decant into). The bottle is clearly labelled but lacks an ingredients list.

Liquid is a pale gold colour and clear. The liquid smells of a nice subtly rich tobacco with some “floral” – sort of lavender-ish/heathery - notes. Actually a rather nice smell and fairly complex…

The liquid flows fairly well and sinks into the cart, but slightly slower than pure PG liquid, as you might expect – in soaked into the 4075 cart better than the 901 for some reason.

When vaped with the 4075, the liquid has a really nice “cross between a light pipe tobacco and a good rolling tobacco” tobacco taste – a quite authentic “aromatic” tobacco “smoke” in fact. The aftertaste is tobacco with some fruit and caramel and a sweetness that is persistent but not annoying. The sweetness – which has a citrus element to it - persists in the mouth, leaving some stickiness. Vapour is very good and the hit satisfying but not harsh.

When vaped at low resistance with the LR901, the liquid almost completely changed – one of the biggest flavour shifts between regular and LR I’ve come across this far – the subtle aromatic nature is gone – the rich tobacco is still there but now has a strongly “sharp” citrus toffee note it. If anything, it tastes sweeter than with the regular atty. The aftertaste has less tobacco and as a result of the flavour shift, the liquid leaves more sweetness and stickiness and almost cloying. The hit is stronger but slightly harsh on exhale and the vapour is, as you would expect, strong.

In both cases the vapour has a nice aromatic tobacco smell, which dissipates pretty quickly and doesn’t draw comment.

In this case I MUCH prefer the liquid with the “regular” atty - – and would recommend it to 901/4075/401/801 types users.

With the 4075 I really liked this liquid – not one for high voltage or low resistance in my humble view though.

ENJuice Bluegrass State
February 05, 2010

This is the third of four reviews of eLiquids of EU manufacture and sold by ENJuice.
The flavours are all at 24mg strength and were purchased in 10ml size.

As usual, the BS 24mg liquid was used in a 901-enabled Screwdriver (Mk II). I've vaped my way through nearly the full ml of the liquid so far.

The liquid came packaged in a CHIP compliant glass bottle (with supplied horrible plastic pipette - now abandoned I understand). I have plenty of 5ml squeezy bottles and decanted the juice into one of those. The bottle does NOT have an ingredients list, but DOES have very clear safety labelling.

Liquid is a "pale syrup" colour and very clear. The liquid itself has quite an authentic tobacco smell coupled with a woody gingerness.

The liquid is possibly a bit thicker than OKS and Dekang liquids, but flows well and soaks into the cart without problem.

When vaped, the liquid has a clear tobacco taste with certain "roundness" to it and no pronounced undertones beyond a certain light woodiness to match its smell - a pleasant overall cig-like experience of the "light Virginia" variety.

The aftertaste is similarly "Virginia" with little sweetness. The liquid dries the mouth just a little, and does leave a slight stickiness.

The flavour is "all day" useable and does not cloy at all.

The hit is good but not remarkable, and is light cig-like on both inhale and exhale.

The vapour has a tobacco smoke smell, which is very pleasant and does not travel much or linger. It has elicited no comment from others.

Overall, a good moderate tobacco liquid and a usable all day vape...

ENJuice Silver Highland Mist Premium
August 15, 2010

This review is of a liquid from ENJuice - “Silver Highland Mist Premium”. ENJuice Premium liquids are offered in PG/VG mix, PG or VG versions – in this case I opted for PG/VG mix...

In this case the liquid - labelled as 24mg - was used in a Screwdriver Mk1 with two different atomisers – a TECC 4075 with a freshly filled LF 4075 cart, and an LF LR901 with a freshly filled LF 901 cart. Both atomisers were “broken in” before the review. The SD had a freshly charged Kaidomain 1000mah protected 16340 battery – so vaping at around 4.2v. I've vaped my way through about 7ml of the liquid over the last few days.

The liquid came packaged in a 10ml glass bottle with a dropper insert (but also with a 5ml plastic bottle to decant into). The bottle is clearly labelled but lacks an ingredients list.

Liquid is a strong “tobacco” orange colour and clear. (Warning – the liquid has a yellow component that really stains things!) The liquid smells of tobacco and various “vegetable” elements – some wood, some “undergrowth” plus just a hint of slightly sharp caramel. Fairly complex then...

The liquid flows fairly well and sinks into the cart, but slightly slower than a pure PG liquid, as you might expect.

When vaped with the 4075, the liquid has a rich tobacco taste with noticeably “woody” elements mixed with a bit a fruit and caramel – oddly there is both sweetness and sharpness. The aftertaste is noticeably caramel biased but with quite strong tobacco and a fair bit of sweetness. The slight sweetness persists in the mouth, leaving some stickiness. Vapour is very good and the hit strong for 24mg juice.

When vaped at low resistance with the LR901, the liquid is very different – still rich tobacco, but the woodiness is brought to the fore, the fruit is also completely absent, and the caramel much less apparent – as a result, the taste is much less sweet. The aftertaste is also “drier” and more tobacco and as a result of the flavour shift, the liquid leaves little sweetness and less “sticky” in mouth. The hit is excellent but not rough and the vapour strong.

In both cases the vapour has a woody/tobacco smell with sharp and sweet overtones – my complained of vinegary toffee smells – luckily, the smell does hang about too long.

In this case I prefer the liquid at LR – and would recommend it to LR atty users.

Overall, a nice and fairly complex tobacco flavour and one to use again...

ENJuice Pinar Deluxe
January 29, 2010

This is the second of four reviews of eLiquids of EU manufacture and sold by ENJuice.
The flavours are all at 24mg strength and were purchased in 10ml size.

As usual, the PD 24mg liquid was used in a 901-enabled Screwdriver (Mk II). I've vaped my way through about 8ml of the liquid so far.

The liquid came packaged in a CHIP compliant glass bottle (with supplied horrible plastic pipette - I understand these are being ditched and empty squeezy bottles provided). I have lots of 5ml squeezy bottles and decanted the juice into one of those. The bottle does NOT have an ingredients list, but DOES have very clear safety labelling.

Liquid is a "bright gold" colour and very clear. The liquid itself has quite a strong tobacco smell coupled with a noticeable sweet highlight - just a touch a toffee and a certain "candyness” with some subtle hints - possibly even floral.

The liquid is a bit thicker than OKS and Dekang liquids, but flows well and soaks into the cart without problem.

When vaped, the liquid has a pleasing round tobacco taste - a cross between a cigarette and a very mild pipe tobacco - and doesn't strike with sweetness.

The aftertaste is less obviously tobacco with an interesting toffee/candy/floral mix with a bit of added fruit. Not overmuch, I should stress but very interesting. The liquid dries the mouth just a tiny bit, and does leave a slight stickiness.

The flavour is pleasant, and importantly "sustainable" - it doesn't become "too much" when vaped continually.

The hit is good but not remarkable - strangely, for me the hit is EXCELLENT first thing in the morning and tails off with continued use. The vape feels nice to exhale.

Now the smell...

The vendor's site says this liquid is: "A supreme flavour, complex and rounded, with delicate undertones.” I don't know about "supreme" - it IS nice - but a good accurate description. The vapour has a noticeable smell, but interesting my wife hasn't commented on it. One of my staff commented that my office smelled "sugary" when she walked into it, but said the smell was not unpleasant. The vapour when fresh has a tobacco smell in it, but this disappears leaving the smell others have commented on.

Overall, a good daily vape, but remember the smell lingers if that might be an issue. I shall use this one again.

Edited to add: Really weird name though :)

ENJuice Desert Oasis Premium
September 23, 2010

This review is of a liquid from ENJuice - “Desert Oasis Premium”. ENJuice Premium liquids are offered in PG/VG mix, PG or VG versions – in this case I opted for PG/VG mix...

In this case the liquid - labelled as 24mg - was used in a Screwdriver Mk2 fitted, using a bespoke Garry Dibley adapter, with a Tornado Mega Cartomiser. The SD had a freshly charged Kaidomain 1200mah 18350 battery – so vaping at around 4v+. I've vaped my way through about 8ml of the liquid on and off over the last week.

The liquid came packaged in a 10ml glass bottle with a dropper insert (but also with a 5ml plastic bottle to decant into). The bottle is clearly labelled but lacks an ingredients list.

Liquid is a strong reddish brown colour and clear. The liquid smells of a very rich Turkish/cigar mix tobacco with scented smokiness to it.

The liquid flows well and I had no trouble filling the carto using the “Crossbow's brother's method”: http://ukvapers.com/...filling-method/

When vaped, the liquid has a very pleasant “somewhere in between a Turkish cigarette and a European cigar” tobacco taste – very “smoke-like” in fact – with a bit of nut and an interesting sweet-dry character with some noticeable vanilla. The aftertaste is tobacco with some nut and vanilla. The taste persists in the mouth in the same way Turkish cigs tastes do and is a bit mouth drying. Vapour is thick and the hit smooth but strong.

This liquid is remarkably “as described” on the ENJuice website. Because it mentions “deserts” don't expect it to be a Camel!!!

Apart from the slight faff of filling it, I've been impressed by the Mega Carto – I got two evenings down the pub from one fill and it has provided a “fat” vape which suited this fairly full flavoured juice.

ENJuice Blue Ridge Mountain
January 19, 2010
This is the first of four reviews of eLiquids of EU manufacture and sold by ENJuice.
The flavours are all at 24mg strength and were purchased in 10ml size.

As usual, the BRM (racing cars ?) 24mg liquid was used in a 901-enabled Screwdriver (Mk II). I've vaped my way through about 6ml of the liquid so far.

The liquid came packaged in a CHIP compliant glass bottle (with supplied horrible plastic pipette). I have lots of 5ml squeezy bottles and decanted the juice into one of those. The bottle does NOT have an ingredients list, but DOES have very clear safety labelling.

Liquid is a "dark golden syrup" colour and very clear. The liquid itself has quite a strong tobacco smell coupled with an equally noticeable toffee odour.

The liquid is possibly a bit thicker than OKS and Dekang liquids, but flows well and soaks into the cart without problem.

When vaped, the liquid has a combination tobacco/toffee taste - the toffee element reminds of those round "penny toffees" that come in yellow foil in Quality Street. But coupled with the smell element of taste, the overall effect is very redolent of Clan tobacco, with added caramel.

The aftertaste is "Virginia pipe tobacco" with some residual toffee, but not overly sweet. The liquid dries the mouth just a little, and does leave a slight stickiness.

The flavour is striking but not over strong but, probably because of the caramel notes, needs "putting down" every now and then.

The hit is good but not remarkable, but gives a nice sensation on exhaling.

Now we come to the smell...

The vendor's site says this liquid is: "A light, aromatic, Virginia blend; mild but full of flavour". A very accurate description. The vapour has a real SMELL. The jury is out on it however. One of my friends in the pub said how nice it smelled - it turned out he liked Clan tobacco and commented on the resemblance. My wife HATED the smell and banned me from vaping it in the house... (My wife also hated Clan) However I'm a bad lad and discovered the smell only lingers for about 10-15mins - a very long time for e-cig vapour though. As the smell dissipates the "Clannishness" goes first, leaving the caramel after-odour. This was just confirmed by one of my staff who walked into my office and commented on "toffee apples".

Overall, one for the Clan fan with a taste for Quality Street. I've enjoyed it, but domestic bliss must be preserved and I don't think I'll be using it again (at least not in the house). A good vape - but use with discretion :)
