First Impressions !

Hey there,
Well this is all new to me, newbie ex smoker, newbie into vaping and a newbie into blogging, so I apologise now ..but I will do my best
Let me first tell you a little about me, my name is Michelle, and I have to say its brilliant to be here and to have found this great place. I have been trying to quit the fags forever.. well since I started smoking which was probably 15-20 years ago. I have always smoked Silk Cut, though had some brief attempts at roll ups, to save money, but usually gave up after a few days because I was so cack handed at rolling lol.
I only managed to quit once before for 8 months and that was because of Champix, but it made me pretty sick and to be honest the thought of going back on those pills turns me green.. I felt I was seriously harming my body with those, more so than even smoking.
Anyway crunch time came before Christmas, and a weekend visit to my Dads. During my visit, my Dad sat my family and I down and told us he had been diagnosed with cancer! My Dad has always been a 20 a day smoker, much like me, and I have to say it floored us.. I was devastated. That night as a family we sat down and watched a film, The Tourist.. and lo and behold the gorgeous Jonny Depp was smoking an e-cig. During that weekend we popped into Bournemouth, and actually came across a market stall selling e-cigs. My dad and I made a pact that we were giving up the ciggies in the new year with the help of our new best friends, our e-cigs that we purchased !!
My dad decided cleverly on a Ego-T and me on a Riva 510.. I do regret that decision, but it was cheaper
.. well it was Christmas !!
Anyway I started on my Riva almost immediately.. to be honest it took a while for to get used to it, but I blame that on the e-juice. The seller had recommended me to start on 11mgs of nic.. but that was just not enough for me, and as much as I tried, I couldn't get off the analogues.
Anyway after countless purchases of e-juice, I finally have the right juice at the right strength. So last Sunday night, I had my last Silk Cut.. my god I was scared, and I have to still carry some around with me, but I think I can do this finally
I realised quite quickly that PG juice, just doesn't suit me.. I found it so drying, and harsh on my throat, so I am using VG juice which is so much kinder and 18 mgs nic, thats just perfect for me. I am still hating my Riva 510 because of the messing around I have to do, refilling it with liquid every few hours,so I am looking to get the Riva Upgrade set tank system.. I think it may work better for me, until I can afford to get something really special I am looking at the lavatubes .. but for home use only probably.. I'm not sure I would get away with one of those at the office
Pleased to say my dad has an op since he was diagnosed with cancer, and we are praying that all is ok.. we won't know for 9 weeks, but fingers crossed..
Just before I finish, as a newbie, I have bought so many e-juices, trying to find the one !!! some good and some very bad.. here is a brief review. Most juices I have got from Liberty Flights..
Cappucino Gusto PG juice 18 mgs - Lovely vape, one of my favourites, really mellow taste- however really difficult to get rid of the smell/taste in your atty after this one.
Coconut VG Juice 18mgs - Again one of my favourites, like vaping a Bounty bar, loads of vapour with this one too
Chocolate Praline PG Juice 18 mgs - Really really dreadful, I am sorry I have really tried with this one, but its just awful.. tastes nothing like it should, tastes like bad peanut butter
Apple VG Juice 18 mgs - Beautiful, and sharp like a Granny Smith, had an awful cold this week, and this juice was my saviour .. lovely!
Raspberry PG Juice 11mgs - Disappointing this one, too sweet for me, and I got sick of this after a day.
Silk PG Juice 18 mgs - Great mellow smoke, not really like Silk Cut, but do you know its not bad at all, plenty of vapour. My dad loves this one..
Maple Syrup and Waffles VG Juice 18mgs - Wow its sweet, not sure about the waffles, but you end stinking of pancakes.. not joking the smell really carries, but do you know its really quite nice, in a strange way.. You couldn't vape all day with this, but its lovely with a morning cup of tea..
If anyone has any recommendations, I would love to know about them.. thinking about Caramel Apple next and possibly some more fruit ones.... Grape or Blueberry?

I started with a riva 901, sold it quickly and went onto ego 510 stuff. I am now using a boge revolution V2.1 from ivapour-elixir, I find it brilliant, portable and the charge lasts for a couple of days and you can still use it whilst it is charging. In fact I am on my 2nd one as the first one didn't charge up properly after 6 months ( I am trying to get replacement batteries from the manufacturers as we speak, so then I'll have two!!) I also have just got a lavatube which I use with a big daddy tank and an arry tank, again brilliant. Libery flights are doing the lavatube at a really good price. Anyway, good luck!!! I am not too far from you, Hythe.
