Hey Easystreet, the e-cigs that are vended from the machine are our disposable ones (same ones available in Tescos). They're priced at £6 each, and last for up to 30 regular cigs, or 3-4 days, before they run out. Apparently, when bingo halls tried e-cigs a couple of years ago, they were the type that required a £25 starter kit, and it didn't take off because the price is too high to tempt the 'casual' vaper who just wants a smoke for the evening. Hopefully we've got around this issue, and more people will be liable to give vaping a try. Hope that answered the question. Cheers. Ben.

Think I'd rather drink a bottle of neat nicotine than go to a bingo hall!

At Boady Towers, we're open for sensible debate, but not Hobbly Gobinisms.

The disposable 10Motive I bought in Tesco last week, when I ran out of e-juice, lasted for three and a half hours before the battery went flat... light to moderate smoker, approx 15ml of e-juice per week.

I'm sorry to hear that Alan. If you want to email me your address, I'd be happy to mail you a free replacement. The disposables are supposed to last up to 30 cigarettes - they generally do for me, but I only take occasional smoke breaks during work, rather than puffing constantly. Most of mine last at least three days. My email is benjohn@10motives.biz.

Any update on this? Thousands of bingo addicts 'discovering' e-cigs could be a good thing, (Providing they get a good prodduct)

Hey Rojeans - we're making steady progress on this. Both Mecca and Gala have agreed to install a vending machine for a four week test period, after which they will make a decision on installing them in more of their outlets. There does still seem to be a sliight psychological barrier when talking to these guys - they don't immediately see that there would be the demand for vaping. Also, it's going to take a little while for the regulars in the bingo halls to realise that they can now have a legal smoke inside, and that bingo can become a more social event again. It's early days, but I will keep you updated on progress.

A USP for you would also be that for every bingoer having a fag break ( Worth doing some maths) is a bingoer not bingoig! ie lost revenue! No doubt you've already thought of that pitch though. (?)

You're absolutely right. In fact most of bingo halls' revenue used to be made between the main games, when people would play the more expensive 'speed bingo' games. Since the smoking ban, half the room clears out between games - it is estimated that bingo halls have lost up to 40% of their revenue because of this. Mecca have even gone to the lengths of investing in 'i-pad' devices which allow the smoker to continue playing remotely whilst having a smoke outside. Seems like the tail wagging the dog to me.....

I know what you mean. The deal I am giving them costs them nothing - my company funds all the stock/machines/distribution costs, and we give them a share of the revenue. Essentially they get an income with no financial risk. Even so, it has still taken a lot of negociating to get this far, as they are yet to be convinced that this could take off - hence I have a lot of hard graft to do over the next month or so!

The wonderful Jemima (AAE-C ECCA Rep) has been in touch with both Mecca bingo and the Gala group. Bingo is another social activity that has been hit by the smoking ban, so she took it upon herself to check their attitude towards vaping.
I'm pleased to announce that both Mecca and Gala allow vaping on their premises
Well done Jem

Question?
Would they be willing to post it on their website under hall details? Wouldn't hurt to ask. I go to Hippodrome here in St Helens occasionally, I will ask management there about vaping as well.
