Not the most endearing subject matter but has anyone else using PG suffered from 'over-active' bowels (to put it mildly). Ever since I switched from VG to it, I have. Did a bit of research online and its one of the main side effects/allergies.

So its either move back to VG or stop vaping. Thing is, I'm not keen on taste of VG. Only real one I liked was the OK Smokey tobacco but I heard that was a VG'PG mix and I want to cut out PG altogether.

Any ideas?

You could try PEG instead of PG, Vapourworlds BM2 (VG/PEG) is made using it. You may struggle completely cutting out PG as most flavourings are based on it. Best of luck.

Cheers mate. I'm toking on VG RY4 right now and its just not doing it for me. Whats PEG exactly?

Was just reading that PG is a main ingredient for constipation relief. All makes sense now

PG is in a lot of things we come into daily contact with, including foods, toiletries, mouthwash etc.
Also consider that Nicotine is a stimulant. Can't speak for anyone else, but for me in a morning, it was brew, couple of ciggies, sudden need for loo.....>>>>>!
If anything, I've found that less often the case since vaping, despite the resulting increase in PG consumption. My nicotine reliance is less urgent now: No need to rapid-smoke two quick cigs outside to replenish my overnight abstention, just a few more spaced and relaxed vape inhales while I'm doing other stuff before work. To my mind, that made it more the sudden Nic rush responsible for toilet habits

Edit: I don't think the constipation relief aspect comes into play to be honest as the method of ingestion is different. If I had to guess I would say it wasn't readily absorbed by the bowels and therefore will provide a loosening effect. Just to confirm you aren't drinking your juice for that extra little kick are you?

I don't get on with PG either. It doesn't give me 'the chatters', just pains in the calves and cramp. A few drops of Bitter Wizard (Flavour Arts) really improves the taste of VG mixes by removing some of the sweetness. I can use PG based flavourings in my VG mixes without problems. That said, the VG hasn't really been hitting the spot lately, so I've ordered some PEG 400 My link. (Cheers StiG for the link!).

no seriously, having ring sting is no laughing matter, just dont laugh-down the way , and remember you will be losing fluids and electrolytes as well, this can cause the real harm for vital organs-balance what your losing.

No I'm not drinkng the stuff but I do think it effects me 'that way'. I think it effects my skin as well in certain ways so I'm cutting it out completely. All of this coincides with moving from VG to PG.

Might look into this PEG thing or might just sduffer the VG I have left and see how I get on. I've got about a months worth of VG so I'm guessing the PG will be out of my system by then.

Ironically, I moved over the PG because VG made me fart like a trooper!

I did read in a post by Grizwald that an anti-histamine tablet a day can help reduce/remove any potential allergies but then again I suspect that a Doctor would be the best person to ask about that...!!!

You may get over it. I used to get cramps.
They were really bad in my hands/fingers. Thought I was getting arthritis. But it passed after a few months.

Yeah, after a couple of months vaping PG I started to get itchy lumps all over. Antihistamines worked a treat and after a month or so I never suffered again. It's VG that does for my bowels .

I'm starting to think its Glyserin in general. Damn. Maybe its time I gave up once and for all.

Don't want to be the harbinger of doom here but I'd resist buying a job lot of PEG, just get a small amount to try, plenty of us don't get on with it either. I'm ok with it for very short periods but after a while I'll get a chemically bitter taste from it and if I carry on vaping it, it will produce rough, dry patches in my mouth that take an age to disappear again..

I threw mine out in the end..

I hear ya Maz. I've ordered 100ml just to see how it goes. I vaped a 10ml bottle of PEG 400 Hangsen Menthol without any problems, so I'm just hoping I'm OK with it
