Have an annoying problem...use my iPad to view ukv 99% of the time.when in normal site safari crashes and just closes without warning which is very annoying when I'm half way through a post. I've tried using the mobile site which works but it's not the same and I just can't get used to it...is there a bug or something on ios5 or something about the forum?

Any light shed on this would be appreciated, anyone else use an ipad/iPhone to view ukv had this problem?

I use both iPhone and iPad. Best advice get the app tapatalk works a treat for me

By the way, in tapatalk you don't view the site as You would in a browser so might take some getting used to but honestly it's really simple and very easy to navigate

Or go to the main forum page, scroll to the bottom and change forum theme, Cant remember which one it is called but I am on the dark blue theme- no more crashes since changing over

A reboot of my iPad fixes it when it crashes.

Is tapatalk any better than the inbuilt mobile site version? Thanks for the advice I had thought about tapatalk but it's a paid app and sillily I would think twice on a 2 euro paid app but happily buy a new mod if it caught my eye on classifieds....sigh....


Aha. So it's not just me.ill try change theme, try reboot and if that doesn't work I'll drop the 2 euro....that's a smokymizers worth of app though....haha

It happens to me about once a week but a reboot fixes it. I've tried tapatalk on my iphone and don't like it much prefer the full safari version of UKV. I use IP Board skin.

Alternatively, get a decent PC? All these i-plonkers and what you pay for, and actually get any use of, makes me lose the will to live!

Yeah get a pc and enjoy the worry of virus's, malware, keylogges online offers to scan your pc. bung it up with anti virus software, anti malware software. It's great. :-)

I've had pc's, laptops, net books the iPad is breath takingly good and it literally changes your life. Hype? you should try it.

There are 1000,s of forums full of apple lovers and apple haters having a go, lets not bring it here :-)

Thanks for the question, I'm on iPad in safari too and it's soooooo annoying when you're halfway through a post and it just closes!
So thanks to your thread I'm now trying the blue theme and see how I get on.

Just a quick question though, can you use the smilies on your iPad? I can't find an option to use em
