Stuff from GotVapes US Part2
Flüxomisers
Bit of a long one but bare with me please, and i bought these from Gotvapes in the US
Never was a big fan of Clearomisers – I like the concept of a filler-less cartomiser, and the Vapour Production and Flavour was a huge improvement (but my juice use doubled!) – tried several – tubes came off, leakages, wicking issues, needed modding to work as they should, filling them was a PITA etc. and my pet peeve – persistent Gurgling if thee let them get horizontal :hissyfit:

However, with a forum such as this, i've talked to folk who love them and say I should give them another try etc.

In the last year the Ultimates came out so I tried some shorties – gave one away and the 1st 2 of the remaining 4 did nothing to change this opinion. The last 2, however, did exactly what they promised: great flavour, VP a very easy mod and this made them easy to fill – plus the Spiky Thing has made this even easier. So thought i'd try some from Gotvapes – their Flüxomisers – as they seen to 'specialise' in Clearo's.

Our FLüXomizer™ provides the very latest in this technology which we helped to directly develop in-house with extensive testing, paying attention to proper ohm settings, wick lengths and general construction to provide you a great out-of--the-box vaping experience. Exclusively from GotVapes.com!

2 packs arrived last week – XL Flüxomiser 2.4-2.6 and 2.8-3.0 Ohm 1.8ml with translucent purple tubes. The tubes seem very sturdy and looking through the 'plastic' it looks like there's an O ring towards the base too (confirmed when cleaning), which should minimise leaks. Now I deliberately haven't tried modding these to see if there more 'Plug and Play' then the previous versions.

Opened the 1st pack popped off the black top cap, removed the inner silicon ring and injected it with 1.5ml of Mom and Pop's Pchela's Famous Five Layers 18mg (Review to follow). This is not a custom mix and the PG/VG ratio id dependent on the flavour. Just managed to wedge an Aluminium DT in and ready to Vape.

Popped it on the GLV and it whispered rather than crackled and WoW! Scrumptious Flavour and loads of Flavour and, when Direct Inhaling, an acceptable Throathit. They seem to be able to wick well if chain Vaping. Not so good with 100% VG – but no great surprise there. Mix with an ickle alcohol and even Boba's Bounty is wicking well (with the odd upside down tilt for good measure!) and the VP is phenomenal!

Attached File  Mini + Xl Fluxomiser.jpg   242.58K   14 downloads

As this one is 2.8-3.0 Ohm's popped it on the LT with the BB on Board:

4.2V – Wicking well and improvement in both Flavour and VP

4.3V – still Fine and Dandy – once the Fog clears enough for me to type ;)

4.4V – still F n D

4.5V – Starting to get a bit warm but still wicking tho will swap to a more PG mixl

4.6V – VR Kentucky – wicking better – definitely warmer

4.7V – Just starting to get a tint of burning – so i'll stop.

Cleaning - as an Addtional How to...
To clean (something i'd never gotten round to on previous incarnations) put the Flüxo on an old battery and gently twist the tube off – exposing the stem, wick and coil/cup.

Attached File  Naked Flux.jpg   236.17K   13 downloads

Rinse under warm water until the wick returns to it's original white, flush through the tube and silicon cover and then squeeze out the wick and gently paper towel dry .

Place on a working battery (preferably a TorneGo or VV set to no more than 3.5V) and dry burn: Fire for a count of 5, wait for a count of 20, then fire for a count of 5 – until thee see the coil glow red – another couple of 'cycles' and done - this may take 20+ cycles so be patient - (thee may wish to gently and with a VERY soft brush, brush off any crud from the wick) and then put the tube back on, carefully pop the silicon cover on (trying to align the grooves with the wick) refill and thee be ready to Vape again. If thee are using the same juice this'll only need to be done every 5-10ml or so depending on performance. Some folk reckon that by doing this regularly they've kept a Flüxo going for 4 months! Trying to speed the process can 'blow' the coil - i've made that mistake and it can be avoided by allowing the time to do it right instead!

Summary
The Flüxomisers (Ultimate Clearomisers) are a huge improvement on the earlier versions I had issues with – No leaks, no tube issues, much improved wicking (tho less wick?), worked straight out of the packet and not a gurgle (horizontal or not!). OK still a bit of a PITA to fill but either a syringe or an ickle mod can make that easier.

Whilst I still wouldn't recommend these for pure 100% VG users they are a vast improvement and if longevity is as good as advertised incredible value at $9.95 (£6.45) for 5 price – tho that was in Gotvapes sale – normally $11.95 (£7.75).

When combined with the change to Direct Inhaling, i'm liking these Flüxomisers and will wait to see how long they last and update accordingly. If TH isn't as important to thee, and prefer Flavour and Cloud of Vapour, then Flüxomisers/Ultimate Clearomisers are possibly made for thee.

I've found by changing my Vaping technique i can increase or decrease the TH and consequently also Juice use, which was one of my issues with them - i was using almost double the juice compared to carto's!

They're pretty much the same as Ultimates - Gotvapes i think work/consult with the company in China that make them and so may get them first tis all. So an XL Fluxo = Clearo as far as i can make out - so should fit! The Vision Stone is a semi-disposable Clearo Tank they're just bringing out and the Stardust is similar to Toby's CE4+'s. Should be at HC soonish too!

pretty sure they can. can't find the thread where this was mentioned. required a small mod if i recall correctly. also torpedo from vapor-age is great. that's the one i went with. designed for 'cut' steel ce2, but fluxos work if you swap out the white o ring at the ce2 base for something heavier.

So who's thy favourite juice vendor? Tried Want2Vape, Alien Visions, Parkes, Mom and Pop's, waiting on Gourmet Vapors and Kick Bass aren't delivering Internationally yet. Who else do thee recommend?

Thanks Easy - important that thee keep to 3.5-3.6V and keep to the count - it may take 20+ goes but otherwise thee risk blowing the coil!

Also set aside time for the Dry burn - if thee stop and start - that sops the coil from heating up and thee can blow the coil!
Sounds like a PITA but the difference between getting a couple of weeks use and a couple of days makes it worth it! Late at night whilst on UKV is perfect! :good:

i'm 'across the pond'. i've heard great things about mom&pop. also virgin vapors. but my vendor of choice for juice is blue mist. they have five pack samplers so you can experiment. and great 'do it yourself' mixing supplies. not sure about international shipping though. customs, esp in uk, may give you a headache. my advice would be to try to find a good vendor as close to you as possible.

Got nothing against UK Vendors - just on a quest to find my Best possible Vape
Love mr GLV2-3 mini's and Mom and Pop's Tobacco's and Pchela's Five Layers - seeing waht else i haven't tried. Boba's Bounty is good but not so keen on 100% VG.
I'll certainly have a look at Virgin Vape amd Blue Mist - any recommendations?

been at this a few months. i'm out of the tobacco favors now. enjoying the new options. i liked the hypermint and fruit flavors from blue mist.

also i forgot to mention gotvapes has a decent juice offering. they were out of their top juices when i ordered, but triple orange, once diluted a bit with unflavored hits the spot.

and plain unflavored 50/50 pg/vg 16mg cleans the palate nicely.

For me they'res still something satisfying in a good tobacco Vape - just a definite lack of Good ones! It's a texture thing for me - possibly a lack of sweetness and certain 'dryness' more than the actual flavour itself - that I haven't found in other types. So whilst I enjoy non-tobaccos - to really scratch my itch - Mom and Pop's Tobaccos work for me :vape:
