Hey folks,

I'm running low on my favourite juices and I need to do something about stock levels, but I'm not sure what. Y'see, my favourite all-day e-liquid at the moment is Liberro's Warm Hickory (actually made by Decadent Vapours, I believe, but not available directly from them) mixed with a little caramel... but it's £19 for 30ml before postage and that's just a bit much. I also like their Knighstbridge liquid, but it's the same deal. It's not that I can't afford it, I just don't like having my plonker pulled (well, not like that, in any case ;) ) and I'd like to find an alternative.

Has anyone else tried these juices? Does anyone have any recommendation as to something similar? The Warm Hickory is a sort of mellow, honeyish concotion with a smoked hickory "hint" and tobacco-ey notes. Not a great explanation, I know ;)

RY4 seems to be hellish popular in these parts (and of course there's the Apple Club), but at the moment I think I'd like to find something similar to my current faves. Unless of course that's what RY4 is like, I never have got to bottom of how that one tastes!

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated :D

Afraid I can offer no help on alternative juices, but if you use ECR69 (ecig reviews) code, that will get you 20% discount.

Have you tried any of the Decadent Vapours tobacco flavours, there might be one that you like.

You can get the flavourings directly from them and mix your own, it's very cost effective. They are what I use all the time.

I like both of those Liberros too and have most of the DV mixing concentrates and I think there is something in the Hickory that is special I suspect. I suggest you fire off an email to DV and ask if its possible to mix from what they sell - you might stand a chance on the Kensington, maybe, anyway.

At 19 quid a bottle, I'd say there was a fair bit of plonker pulling afoot, lol...

Yup, thanks mate. Thing is, most vendors have a 10-20% discount code but this juice is 50% more than the next most expensive I buy (Grizwald's). 20% off at Liberro vs. 10% off at Vape Escape brings them closer, but I can still buy damn near three Griz bottles for the price of two Liberro's, and when you start looking at most other juices at £8-£10 for 30ml the difference is scarier still.

Nice idea - I'll give that a shot! Mind you, I hadn't had any intention of mixing my own... but if that's what it's going to take to get my favourite style of juice, I guess I'll have to resign myself to it!

Hah, so glad it isn't just me... And following the link from that thread to TW, I was browsing through and was struck by the following question: does anyone else think that "Ideal for mixing or carrying your Fluids in" sounds more than a little disgusting? ;)

Yeah, for that sort of money I'd be expecting literal rather than metaphorical action ;)

Have you payed a visit to VapourWorld yet? They have a vast array of flavours and your looking at between 10 and 15 quid for a little over 50ml of liquid. Their juice is made by Dekang and I expect they can help you with the flavour if you email them. They're pretty helpful. I'm a big fan of RY4 myself and Dekang is my current favourite but I doubt it's the flavour you're after where Hickory is concerned. I'm sure you'll find something you like there though. Good luck with your search.

No problem Wildcat : ) I only found the site a few months back myself. Have you come across their subscription deal yet? It's a great idea. Even cheaper too I think.

Paula at VW is a great vendor..happyvappy on here..very helpful. I'm especially looking forward to the new RA (real Ale ) juices developed in conjunction with CamVIP (Campaign for Vaping In Pubs)
Vaping what the hell I like (as usual) Sharing the joy of the SDK with pub-goers but enjoying the intensity of the HH357 at home and the sheer practicality and fafflesness (its a word i made up) of the Lil mama on the Touchwood. 306DCA..dripping monster

I WAS THERE AT VAPEFEST 2010!
MISSED VAPEFEST 2011! Vapefest 2012 in August..worst time for me :(

I sympathise with you here. I loved the Warm Hickory sample I got from Liberro, and I also crave the Eskimo menthol they do, but even with discount it's over £15 for 30ml, which is a bit steep (in my own humble opinion).

All I can suggest is get some and keep it for when you want to treat yourself, rather than vaping it all day.

I despaired of finding really good liquids I could vape all day after my Eskimo ran out, but now there are three or four new flavours I've found that do the job in different ways, including HC RY4, NicVape Jnr Mints, Hangsen Chocolate Caramel and HS Menthol Sensation, and a lot of the fun (for me) is in the experimentation and changing flavours with my mood.

If you do manage to find a warm hickory-a-like, please let us know ;)

Quick question, don't wanna hijack your thread BigJ

@scanbran Does the 'HC' there stand for Health Cabin? If so would your say there's much similarity or diffence with Dekang RY4? I've over vaped my staple (Dekang RY4) and don't taste it anymore so I need a good RY4 sub to stand in for a while until my taste buds readjust. I'm looking for similar and different all at the same time. So not asking for much lol.

Wow, looks like I'm in good company: both for my liking of Warm Hickory and my distaste for the price! Who knows... maybe someone at Liberro will take heed and bring their 'Purity' range in line with premium juices from other vendors. ;)

If I ever find something I think is really similar, I'll post here for sure...

Hah, so the solution to this problem is "get a new favourite that doesn't cost so much". Great ;)

Any suggestions? :D

I had a hickory juice through the Pay it Forward thread but passed it right on. I think it was from Paradise Vape though if that's any use to you. Also may be worth sticking an add in the classifieds. There's probably somebody there that either has some they would trade or sell if they don't know of a good place to buy. Plus I'd guess there's more traffic through there so more will see your post. Just a thought.

Not personally mate but try Scott's (igetcha) website for them. http://www.e-cig-reviews.com/ There are lists of discount codes there.

http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk have a decent range too and there's 15% of with the codes from the previously mentioned site. Might find something similar to your Knighstbridge there. Hope that helps. You could always google any store names for codes too. I think there's a thread with codes in the Vendor or Shopping section here on UKV too. Hope that helps : )
