i will just add a bit here....i bought the 18650 cube alum. i asked the scot many questions regarding the materials used in making the mod, i wanted to know if the alum hit as hard as the ss and vice versa. i receieved messages from the scot within minutes. not just a yes no answer....he talked to me in great detail about the build quality and reassured me about my purchase. this was in 5 MINUTES! i cant say anymore really. the cube in my eyes is a freaking monster of a mod and built like a shit brick house...i dropped mine hard while on an mot test (waiting for the verdict) was dropped HARD and theres only a wee mark on it. what was it again? 60 odd quid? its a frecking tank! love the mod so much it will ever stay in my mods to keep. you would have a real hard time getting it off me without a fight! plus 1 for the scot......the mod is a freaking tough son of a bitch! i love the switch!

I have to agree about the build quality of the cubes. My mini cube arrived Friday and it feels and looks awesome. Very solid build and unless you attack it with a hammer it seems this mod will last forever.
My only gripe was the service from collect+ but the scot knows about the issues caused by them. I really want to buy some tanks from his site aswell but i will hold off a little longer to see what happens with the delivery options.
Great product but the courier i do not like.

I don't like the cube at all. I am angry that I bought a product sight unseen based on reviews by people more concerned with developing a position within a community than giving reviews based on the average consumers experience. That means someone who paid for it and did so based on filling a need with a single device.
The cube leaked from day one. Prior to any falls. I never asked for or wanted a refund. I just wanted it to work properly. I bought the cube because it seemed that it would be a reliable device. It isn't. It's kludgy as hell.
The switch is awful. The wrong spring was chosen but rather than find the correct parts to install the correct spring, a spring was added as a an "extra". There is no stop to keep the thing from completely unscrewing and the friction of unscrewing and screwing leaves black corrosion on the screw. Even getting the switch unscrewed is a battle. Half the time the switch binds and I have to take the entire piece out and then unscrew the switch and then put it back together.
The brass pin is always needing adjustment and it leaks.
The weight of this thing is stupid. Just stupid. I mean, it's squareness is a novelty but the crushing blows it delivers to atomizers are a direct result of the extra steel in this thing. So, yeah, the device is reliable enough that it's kludges won't keep you from a vapor hit so long as you don't end up dropping it. I used an ego battery with 306 atomizers and I dropped it but never hurt an atomizer. Dropping the ego didn't hurt the ego either. It didn't even scratch when dropped on pavement so that isn't all that amazing (the cube does scratch when dropped on concrete). Dropping an ecig is completely within reasonable expectations of use given their design requirements and available materials.
So, the cube does hit well when the spring lines up properly and It doesn't misfire . I did call the dude a douchebag and after his airing of private conversations in a public forum, seems I was accurate. I did that after giving up on ever having the issue remedied. The cube was more trouble than it was worth. At that time I decided that I could give a different perspective that isn't often posted because people who hang out on forum boards either A)want to be accepted there so are hyper conscious of not offending anyone
People who don't hang out on forums usually don't bother. They get in , get some info and make a purchase.
I don't have anything personal against thescot or siam but I would seriously stress that the premium vaping experience I expected with Siam-Mods Mini Cube 14500 was not delivered. It needs to be redesigned. I am also not saying that THEY are incapable of making an excellent product. The mini cube is not it. For those of you who want one of everything, get one. For those of you looking for ONE device to rely on, keep looking.
So, I do want people to understand that this is not a personal vendetta. This is a review from a guy who feels his money was not well spent on the mini cube.
I don't even feel right about selling it.

i think its pretty poor that you want to condem the views of other cube users, who have only posted their views, by the sounds of it your problem is you yourself and not your cube,
you say it leaks but the cube does not hold liquid , your catomizer or tank holds the liquid and if not filled correctly will leak, i get the feeling that you dont know what your doing or saying for that matter , as for the weight its solid stainless steel for durability, if you had read the specs on their site it is their in black and white..
when things are handmade or even mass produced their are going to be the odd defect in the odd device, if you dont know how to talk or explain your problem, than maybe you should go back to basics, pack of cigs and a box of matches, rather than slagging everyone off...imo u r a round doorhandle

had it for several weeks now and still thrilled. a little 'topply' when i stand it on the switch end. i knocked it over and cracked my pyrex torpedo that way. but who's fault is that? overpriced, yes. but it's well built and a simple, elegant design. well done.

after rereading your post in disbelife, you did not inform anyone, you dont blame siam or the scott, then you can only blame yourself
if i drop a leaf from a height on to a cocreate floor it floats to the floor , if i drop a stone it plumets, laws of gravity are simple.
if its ruberised it absorbs some of the impact, if its not it takes the full impact,
your ego looks like a pen the cube is a work of art.
your ego is cheap your cube is not,
you crash a ferrari at 30 miles an hour it looks a lot worse than when you crash a ford fiesta at 30 miles an hour

Your point of view heyoka was made along with your bad language and threats.
Everything was done in private to fix a fault that you had with the cube (and i think i know what caused the problem - you) but you wanted to make a sing and dance about it in public and entitled to do so. Some of your excuses were rather childishly poor to say the least but to be expected.
I know who i'm dealing with now after some research and have to accept there's some real strange people out there and you are definitely the strangest i have came across to date and i feel sorry for the next person you seek out to destroy.
You've proved your have some problems / issues (not cube related) and i have to accept those i guess.
Its not all bad ...i now have an idea to make a childproof mod and may even send you one as you seem to be a good candidate as a tester.!!!

First, I'm appalled at the OP's behavior in PMs, and wish to apologize for allowing him to stay in my country. Don't worry, I'll see that he's deported to somewhere more appropriate, like Turkey or Kazakhstan.
That being said, I'm getting more and more annoyed with the, "I don't like what this person said, so they should be banned." statements. That's just ridiculous. It seems to me that there's a constant tug of war on forums, with some wanting to turn them into the Third Reich, and others wanting them to become Hedonism. Y'all have a great balance going on here, and a really nice forum enviroment. Don't screw that up by limiting other's right to speak their POV, or allowing too much leeway in the way that opinions are expressed.
Ok, I'm stepping off my soapbox now.

I love reading or watching video reviews, i also believe one should always point out both the good points and the not so good points of the said item, thus allowing others to make there own mind up..lets face it, NOTHING is perfect, whoever is making/designing any item also has to consider the likely hood of the final cost to Jo public..if the reviewer also wanted to say something good or not so good about the customer care, that is also fine..IMO ..providing it does not get personal ...
Sadly this thread was neither, it was a personal attack with the use of some foul language ..for me that is a sign of a very immature person and would have no effect on my opinion of the said item
