I went to The Anglers last night from 6pm. When I first arrived there half a dozen people in - the last few from the lunchtime session - then they left about 6.45pm.

From that time, for an hour and a half, I was the only person in the pub

Simone told me that business was going to be bad for 2 weeks from last friday (because 7 of the regulars are in India on holiday), but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad!

This coming week, I have pledged to pop in every night after work to give my support and she has organised a few events for this fortnight, starting with Burns Night (Scottish themed Night) on Wednesday with Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, Shortbread, Scot's Broth and Whisky. I will be doing a quiz at 9pm.

Saturday is an ecig sale at the pub supported by Safercigs and Vapourworld. If you live locally, please come along and show your support as well as being able to stock up on your consumables

I'm really glad you are supporting your local (and other pubs of course) so strongly. I'm a great believer in the value of the pub as a positive social asset and you are doing a sterling job with CAM-VIP - more power to your elbow and good luck to the Anglers...

Bless you Rusty for your support, shame more people dont come out and support their locals!
We are having a whole host of events and themed evenings to see if we cant drag a few in starting this wednesday (25th) celebrating Burns Night with some scotish goodies and a quiz, Saturday 28th an e-cig sale and party later in the evening, Monday 30th we are celebrating the humble hotdog by selling fully loaded with all the trimmings :-)
Fingers crossed we can entice a few in.

If anyone passes through Stafford, I can recommend the the Lamb Inn - a small "regular local" type pub with good beer and open vaping with the landlady's support (I'm the only regular vaper but they are well used to it and I take visiting vaping friends there)
