If anyone's really desperate and can't wait for Daz to re stock maybe try here?

http://www.easyvap.c...t_search=Search

They do stock the batteries as well but for some reason they're not with all the other imist items?

Aye, I usually find him spot on too. Sounds like he either had a couple of duds or was so pissed off with the first dud that he gave up caring.

Mine's still going strong and that's all the matters to me. ;)

i may be wrong, but i think Phil normally uses a thick VG based liquid and that will definitely cause wicking issues :(

The only way the imist works for me is when I remove the wick, substitute the tank for an echo-e tip and drip right on the coil (and it's actually pretty good that way). When I use it as it is meant to be used, it produces a very cold vape and very little flavor; however, using it as a drip atty defeats the purpose of the whole setup, so for me it's a lot cheaper to stick with the 306, 901 and, when I'm out and about, the echo-e.

I heard about this thread from a YouTube subscriber, so I figured I'd join up and comment.

First, Hello Everyone!!

Second, ah yes, the "noob" comment. Your comment:

Quote

M8 as a reviewer you have just shown your self to be a total noob and ill explain why. You mentioned in the video about the carts now had you done some research you would have known that its a new design that does not leak yet YOU a man of much experience remove the rubber seal then complain that it leaks. also how would you not know how to fill a cart with a 30ml bottle. then you say about wicking well its easy adjust the wick to drip on the coil easy fix takes 2 seconds.

To which I responded:

Quote

Oh well, opinions vary. Let's go through your post shall we? First, I never said it leaked. Second, I did what I did based on a recommendation on THEIR site: "*Do note that the if you are chain vaping and having wicking problems you can remove the small rubber seal on the cartridge/tanks, it will increase juice flow and fix the problem" Third, you want me to pull out a wick that 1) is already falling out on it's own and 2) should work correctly out of the box? Ok.

This to me is an admission of guilt. Clearly other people are having wicking issues or the statement would not exist.

Sorry, I know opinions vary on the Imist. If yours are working out for you, then terrific!! What I reported was my exact experience with no sugar coating. I gave the second one (after I replaced the wick) as much chance to work as the first. It didn't. Perhaps I did get two bum units... but then that speaks to quality control doesn't it?

The only "mistake" I made was to fill it and try to use it. Not sure how the wicks falling out were my mistake. Not sure how following a recommendation on their site was my mistake.

As far as being unprepared... The batteries were charged, I was properly showered, I had a nice shirt on, and my hair was done :-) What kind of preparation would be required to fill a device and use it? I attempted to use the device for several hours (the first one for 30 minutes before the wick fell out).

How long did I need to subject myself to poor flavor and inconsistent hits? How long do you think someone who is making the transition from analogs to vaping would want to deal with it?

The juice used in the first tank was a 70/30 PG/VG blend. The second would have been a thicker 100% VG, which is how I test just about all similar tank systems. I never got there.

I look at devices in many different ways. One of them is from a new vaper's perspective... someone who has just purchased their first device. They read the manual and it says drip the juice into the tank. It can't be done with the rubber piece in place.

Now their wicks start falling out. Are they going to know what to do?

Song appreciated the honesty of the review. As a matter of fact, he even sent me another device to review as well as two additional iMist attys for me to try.... and I will be giving them a second chance.

This speaks WONDERS for this vendor, and I respect him for that, as well as his comment to the review:

Quote

I'm thinking its a defective atty or wick to, since they are the best tank system I've tried to date, Phil does good and honest reviews, so can't blame him even if the unit didn't work for him, 2 more atties tanks are been send to him to test out. Another good news is that this review made headlines with BIANSI and they had a big meeting to see how to fix any problem he has encountered with it. Good thing to know they are listening to reviewers and there opinions.

Keep up the hard work Phil!

A FAR more professional response than the "noob" comment.

One thing I never do it attack a person's experience. I can only speak to my own. If I give something a negative review and someone says it's working for them, I'll say, "Great! So glad it's working out for you!" If I give something a positive review and someone says it’s not working for them, I'll say "I'm really sorry to hear that, did you try..." and then try to help them.

Finally, with all due respect, it was you who made the rant public with your post here as well as your comment on YouTube. I don't typically feel the need to explain myself, but felt this one deserved my attention.

Oh well, have a great day everyone!

Taste in juice and devices is subjective! Whatever works to keep you off analog cigarettes is the best juice or device out there!

i do not wish to engage in a public rant with you but i felt your video was wrong in so many ways and you was unprepared for the video you made so many mistakes and clearly did not use the product for 5-7 days in advance. like i have said you are a good reviewer but you got this one wrong it was not a attack on you as a person

The Imist I had was poor too. Wicking problems with 50/50 juice. It may have worked with 100% PG, but I wasn't going to replace my choice of e-liquid to accomodate an atty.
I did try removing the little rubber bung. But same result, dry hits.
So for me, yet another Tank atty that just didn't work.
It looked nice though :)

Well i scratch my head in confusion at how people can have seemingly polar opposite experiences with the imist ,i have used it with vapourworld bm2 juice and it performed flawlessly wtf .???keep the volts low and it rocks ........and Daz when are they gonna be back seems to be taking ages

Quality control? To be honest, I think that's a common factor in people having good/bad experiences with kit. Initial small run of a device gets good reception and sales, subsequent higher volume runs suffer quality loss? I might well be talking out of the wrong hole here but it seems logical in my brain. ;)

Thing is, I'm betting all these IMISTs in the wild right now are from one of the initial production runs...

Of course, if people are trying it at higher voltages than what it was intended for (clue being it's eGo skirted) it could cause problems. Mine's still performing like a total champ and has had all kinds of juice mixes through it - the only time I noticed a few dry hits was when I upped the voltage.

Well, I'm just about ready to chuck my iMist out of the window. Will give it a few more days, but so far I like the fact that it's easy to clean, you can change the wick, looks good and produces a lot of vapour. What is driving me nuts is that bl%^$ WHISTLING NOISE everytime I take a draw! Maybe I've got some sort of super hearing. Unless there is a solution, my iMist will either end up on classified or in the garden if I loose my temper.

Are there any links/pics on wick replacement? When I got the imist the wick was missing so put a replacement in but I just can't seem to get it right. It either has a burnt taste or the juice doesn't get to the atty. Cheers.

Hi,
I wanna give some tips from my experience with imist , because I modified it and I know his problems - the tank doesn't reach the bottom of the pin both on v1 and v2 version , just check and you're see the about 2mm space between . http://ukvapers.com/...tomiser-review/
By the way it's normal mistakes done by pbusardo , who I respect for most of his reviews !
Some peoples it used like this :
