Hi all,

This is my first review and my first real experience away from joye/ego style batteries.

Firstly the device did not look anywhere near as big as it does on the vendors web site. (ecigwizard) a bonus in my eyes.

It has a very solid feel and the black painted finish is heavy which suggests they should be no problems with scratches or chipping.

The button has a good feel and hs a strong "spring back", this should not stick in, which was a occasional problem with my pass-through.

It feels good in the hand and the heavy mottled finish should make it harder to drop.

30 seconds after opening the box i had fitted the pre charged battery and had taken the puff diddy tank off my pass-through and was vaping from the bolt, i immediately noticed a improvement in vapour and taste, and it really brought the best out in my clearos.

The threading in the middle of the tubing felt just slightly rough I've applied a little vasaline and it now feels as it should, no reason to believe i will ever have any probs with the threads in the future.

The bolt is a very basic tool i understand the voltage will drop towards the end of the batteries charge but personally i don't have a problem with that.

Price wise can't complain there,(Bought as kit £64) I worked out there is around 40 odd pounds worth of tanks, flanged dccs, 2 18500 1600mAH batteries and a trustfire TR - 001 charger which will charge a variety of different battery types and sizes.

So £20 for the battery case itself, If in the future i decide i need a mod with more bells and whistles it wont be to upsetting to store as a spare at that price.

I believe Ben & Co will be stocking a extension ring which will enable the bolt to except a 18650 battery in the near future.

I've attached a photo of the bolt along side a 650 ego and a 900mAH that came with the rokstar to give you an idea of the size, Still looks smaller in the hand mind. :bulgy-eyes:

OH nearly forgot, its a 510 fitting and you would need a adapter to use ego style tanks etc.

When the extension sleeves come into stock I might well invest in one of these - Don't see any need to have *more* battery sizes cluttering up the place... Although, doesn't the Kick turn 18650 devices into 18500 ones? :D

I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Thanks for the review mate. ;)

Don't think i will be investing in the extension ring myself, a freshly charged 1600mAH will power a clearo all day.

The dccs on the other hand?........... well they are for home use anyway.

I've got 10 or 12 18650 batts and 4 mods to use them in so it seems a bit of a waste to start adding 18500s as well. That's my thinking anyway. ;)

Your thinking seems sound enough to me.

Cant express how well my little clearos work on this device, Like dripping...............but without the dripping.!!

Just a quick update,

The battery in the bolt (18500) lasted for around 4.5 ml using the dccs and puff tank.
the vapor went cold then three draws later died completely, did not notice any drop in production up to this point. same thing with second batt. both of them are on the trustfire have been for 5 hours so far, apparently this charger has a reputation for being slow, but that's supposed to increase the batteries life span??

Hard for me to give a honest answer as I've not had much experience away from ego style to compare. certainly heavier than a ego, to me its about right, balanced yes, it feels good and solid in the hand, probley be to heavy for the more delicate amongst us to be bothered with, but i doubt many would feel that way???

Hope that helped, Lol, shame I've no accurate scales handy.

so the short answer is about right (for most)

Good information Coffee - think is a more 'experienced' Vaper might think that it's light compared to a SB or a Provari with 18650 end cap - so it's good to have a comparison to a TorneGova :good:

Nice well written review Coffee. Looks really sturdy. Sounds like the full kit is really good value for money.

Thanks for the reply Mate, yeah if you use or are planning to try dccs and tanks it does seem quite a good deal. depends on the price of the tube mod alone tho.

No probs so far with use of the kit, with both dccs and Clearos.

Time will tell of course.

stiggy will have to wait for a more experienced reviewer to answer that one mate, not sure what a hot spring does to be honest. lol Thanks for reply.

Bolt now sold on Its own has appeared on their site at £25.99.
No sign of extension rings or 18500 batteries as yet?

Kits now down to sixty quid, (makes me angry)
Must have probs getting interest.

Hope that's not down to this review!!??

Yeah act in haste repent at leisure, Ended up selling the dccs and tanks on, (they worked well on the mod, but i get much better taste from clearos and double the battery life) so even bigger loss! not regretted the purchase though saves me a lot of messing around charging two egos most days. And the bolt gives better service to my clearos than the egos did.

All i need now is good longevity from it.

Unless the switch plays up there's not an awful lot to go wrong. One of the reasons I love my mech mods.

Nothing at all to do with me being a total Luddite, oh no. :D
