I know... tricky finding a pretty contemporary US made car, They lost the plot in the 70's

This.... Posted Image

Is a design classic superb bit of kit

This......... Posted Image

Is their take on the 18650 mod (and is priced at £10.00 incidentally)

Much better in my opinion.

The Chinese seem to do much better when working to their own brief than trying to knock off a western design that's more about form over function. The Silver Bullet is more about how it looks and feels rather than what it does.

Link - Although this is from someone who used to sell American cars. :D

The feel in the hand (steady! :D) is a very important point though, at least for some. The SB is perfect in that regard... But it'll never take a corner like an eGo. ;)

The silver bullet is a gorgeous bit of kit, there's no doubt about that, but reports of size and weight put me off trying it out.

My bolt came in black, looks no where near as big or the paint work as thick and glossy as the pics make it look??
(still got that button), tho that's not as bad as the photos make it look.

I'm not trying to put it in the same class as the SB looks wise, it's just not very photogenic for some reason??

certainly don't feel embarrassed pulling it out in public. (or the bolt either)

GeekGirlVaper/Jan's review of the Bolt landed in my inbox this morning and she thinks it's fine too - and she's a SB nut. ;)

Interesting thing about the size - it's exactly midway between the SB and the little 14500 BB.

Nice review Coffee, I may be late to the party but have just purchased the full Bolt kit from http://vapeescape.co.uk/ including

1 x Bolt Body
1 x 3ml Tank
1 x 6ml Tank
2 x Drip Tips
2 x 18500 - 1600mah Batteries
1 x TR001 Charger
5 x Pre-punched DC Cartomisers

Using the ukvapers 10% discount and the free postage the package came to £49.49
when you think the 18650 extension ring will allow the included 18500's to be used with the Kick from Evolv, this package looks a bit of a no brainer for anyone who doesn't already have a device to use with the Kick.

Mines been in daily use since i signed for it and still gives good service. I've had one or two miss fires over the last two days, hopefully that's all they will be, I dont think the button is easy to replace! not over worried about the odd miss fire myself.

Not sure the batteries provided are recommended for use with the kick, no doubt someone else will test that statement out and prove me wrong.

The trustfire charger whines for a minute or two when i first turn it on but has never got hot and runs quite cool for the most.

Good luck with your kit KFV it did work well with the dccs and tanks when i used em.

Only AW or at least imr's are recommended for the Kick - tho some will try with what they've got to hand

Coffee, I also ordered a bolt kit from ECW yesterday. Looking forward to moving onto a proper mod from my two week old EGO-C.

Can I ask how long you charge the batteries for or do you leave them to charge and the supplied charger tells you when they're "done"?

Also I see you mentioned pre charged batteries, is that the case with every order or did you get them juiced up due to youre order being one of the first?

Hi motty,

It usually takes around 4 - 5 hours to recharge the 18500s with the charger provided, I always charge the batteries after around three quarters of their power has been used, as i understand it running them completely flat between charges will quickly lower their life expectancy. The lights on the trustfire tr 001 will change from red too green when the charge is complete, the charger will run quite cool for the last couple of hours as the last bit of charge is a slow trickle, but always allow them to charge fully as this will again improve their life expectancy. The provided batteries will probley be charged. Assuming your using the dccs that come with the kit id consider changing batteries after around 3ml has been used, As i ran mine flat after vaping about 4.5 ml and as i said its not good to run em right down to often. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply Dave :)

I had a quick toot on mine this morning with the supplied cartos in the lil mama and they were terrible!
So I soon whipped out the jnr hacksaw and took 9mm off, punched a lr boge I'm half way through and gave it a vape..a million times better.

Just checked the freshly charged battery (18500) on a multimeter and it's showing 4.18v..

Ah so you went for the cream colored bolt, That would of been my second choice.

Three hours after my post where i stated that id had few miss fires the bolt started failing me completely! lucky if it worked once in ten goes.
I've emailed ecig and its getting posted back to them tomorrow for "testing". The battery was fully charged and both the ce2 and vision work well enough on my ego batteries. so i recon it can only be the switch. will expect a verdict in the next week or so.

Im looking for something to make a temp mod with while its away, as i prefer the extra power i get from the 18500s. I've everything i need apart from some sort if box/tube and maybe a spring for the negative end.

Good vaping Motty, glad your enjoying your bolt.

I really want one of these, but the question is.... can it be justified!

The grey one looks good.

Might have to get it as a second backup!

Up until wed night it had given me great service, it is a solid bit of kit, well threaded, I've probably just been unlucky with the switch? Not heard to many more complaints about it and there is a couple more favorable reviews about.
