Following discussions with Jackie and the moderating team, I'd like to remind ALL members of Rule 3:

• Be civil - try to treat others the way you'd like to be treated yourself. Personal attacks of any nature will not be tolerated.

We've had a bit of an outbreak of abusive behaviour and bad language recently and we want to be clear to members that this will not be tolerated.

I'd remind you all of something Jackie posted quite some time ago:

“... let me be clear that I don't mean that you can't air complaints, and I'm not expecting everyone to have a 'happy bunny' attitude all of the time. But what isn't acceptable is things like threads titled 'Shit Vendors', posts having snide remarks at other members (whether they be vendors or not), or even dare I say it posts which are an all out attack on other members. None of these kinds of posts are acceptable in any way, shape or form (and nor is being drunk an excuse). We will start locking / editing / deleting posts and threads of this nature if we have to.“

You are all very welcome to disagree with each other but we insist that this is done in a civilised manner. We want new e-cig users and members to feel welcome and comfortable here.

Following recent outbreaks of ill humour and personal attacks I'm bumping this. I'm asking the moderation team to take a strong line on attacks on, and snide remarks about, individuals and also to do the same with posts which, in their opinion, are intended to provoke such behaviour.

I would also remind you that the rules apply to everyone - regardless of who they might be. I would also remind you all that moderation decions are final (Rule 2)
