I found a couple of old Nokia mobile phone chargers yesterday, and was wondering :-
If I fitted the corresponding socket to a dinky box mod, would I be able to charge a single 16340/14500 battery using just the charger, or would I need an additional charging circuit inside the mod ?
In other words, do the chargers have the relevant circuits built in ?

No i think the phone curcuit deals with the charging and when to cut off, the charger just gives the current required.

The Ego passthrough batteries have a very compact little charging circuit in the base, complete with USB socket. I managed to ruin the first one I pulled apart because the wires are very small/fragile, but if you're careful they could certainly be wired into a box mod. For a couple of quid more (up to about a tenner more depending on where you source them) you can also get a Joye/Janty stick body and pull that apart for its charging circuit and socket, although in those it may be part of the main PCB rather than a separate part as in the Egos.

Or just use an ego electronics board for the charging.

Or use these:- http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_2613wt_1018

You'll have to swap out the standard plug for a mini socket but you just aim for the two outside pins.
