Hi all Wanted to pick a few brains (is anyone out there) I will be coming over to England shortly maybe flying and by train. What are the rules and also experience over there? Also as I live in France was thinking about bringing some juice back can I bring it in my hand luggage and how much. The stuff over here is very expensive and a few sites have said they can not deliver here sounds like the French maybe shutting the door on imports. :english: :frog:

I am on the train from London to York right now - vaping no problem. This morning (the other way) a bit busy - so was a bit stealthy. However now i have half the carraige to myself so vaping the same as if i was at home! Just had a tickit inspection and my stuff was in plain sight (as was some vapour) - no issue at all...

Don't think i've flown since i began Vaping - if in doubt put the majority of juice in thy hold luggage and keep a 5ml bottle for necessity - just in case and have a couple of pre-filled carto's too! I take the train and ferry to Ireland and have encountered no problems as yet!
:balanced:

Edit - BTW - why would thee fly from France? It might work out about the same price or cheaper by train - tho a tad longer - but think of the Environment too! :hippie:

More than happy to ship to France if we have what you need. unless France does have an import ban in place, wouldn't want you to risk loosing your package and be out of pocket.

As France is an EU country, just like the UK, they can't ban importing juice from the UK.

Here in Sweden, it is not legal to sell juice with nicotine as it is classed as a medicine. However,
there is nothing at all that they can do to stop me importing juice with nicotine for my own use
from another EU country.

As to the OP's question about juice and flying, either put it in your checked baggage or have
it in your 'liquids' bag in your hand baggage. There should be no problem at all.

I vape openly on pretty much every bus, train & tube journey I make in and around London. The only times I got stopped and questioned were when I used a cheap look-a-like with red LED.
Since using mods no one bats an eyelid. Perhaps it looks more medicinal?

Taking liquids in your hand baggage

Wherever possible you should pack liquids in your hold baggage, as there are restrictions on the amount you can take in your hand baggage.
Liquids include:
  • all drinks, including water, soup and syrups
  • cosmetics and toiletries, including creams, lotions, oils, perfumes, mascara and lipsticks
  • sprays, including shaving foam, hairspray and spray deodorants
  • pastes, including toothpaste
  • gels, including hair and shower gel
  • contact lens solution
  • any other solutions and items of similar consistency
If you need certain liquids during the flight, you can take them into the cabin in limited quantities as follows:
  • containers must hold no more than 100ml
  • containers must be carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm
  • contents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealed
  • the bag must not be knotted or tied at the top
  • each passenger can carry only one of these bags
  • the bag must be presented for examination at the airport security point
Containers larger than 100ml (excluding essential medicines) will not be allowed through the security point even if they are only part full.
