I don't see how they can play the 'people will smoke' card..everyone knows its illegal, and it'd be their own stupid fault for thinking they can just light up.

Also, I would've had the drinks then left, not vaping for 10 minutes isn't rocket science

I agree. The thing is that Yates is heaving on a Saturday night. More like a night club... I.e they don't give a shit about tossing 4 people out.

I guess the upside is that half of York would have read that article and as such would be educated.

A spokesman for the Department of Health said it was legal to smoke e-cigarettes indoors if they were only emitting a vapour and they are not ignited, but said it would be at the discretion of the owner of the premises.

I thought that bit was at least clear/positive.

General public might twig to the riduculous "some will think its OK to smoke" arguement if the headline read. "Diabetic banned for using needle as it may encourage junkies"

All of em! Never had any problems anywhere anytime except Yates. Pretty stupid of them to take that stance, but that is up to them. Magazine will clarify with head office, but not planning to return to any Yates wine lodge now or ever!;-)
