Hi,i go carp fishing for long sessions, sometimes for a week in France.I generally take a large leisure battery with me for the longer sessions for charging my phone, dvd player etc.....with adaptors from crodile clips to cigarette lighter to USB i can manage to charge my Ego batteries and my SD keyring.......but how can i keep my mini lavatube going ? Is there anyway i can charge 18350s ?

a small cheap inverter works well.. just charge (power) your stuff exactly the same as you would from the mains..
one other alternative is to buy a charger that works from a car cig lighter plug.. the little inverter is the best idea..
the best way is the small inverter and a small extension lead.. you have mains power wherever you are then.. they are quite cheap.. you dont need a big one.. 150 watts or so will do..
if you dont mind spending the dosh these are very very good..

The Trustfire TR-001 chargers have a 12vdc input jack on the side of them. Not sure exactly what size it is, could be a 3.45mm/1.3mm.

Just grab one of the modular power bricks from Argos or wherever; the type where you can switch out the plugs on the end. You usually get at least 8 different plugs with those and one should fit, from what I can remember of the days before I lost all mine somewhere. Then even if none of them match you can grab a plug from Maplin and solder it on yourself no problem.

finding the cheap lead is always the problem with these things.. they dont follow a standard which is a shame.. even the multi connection gizmos often dont have one that fits whatever it is to want it to..

That socket in the trustfire looks quite like the older style Nokia phone type. I used to have chargers of that type but don't have one lying around these days. Has anyone tried one?

center positive new seems common.. it used to be any old which way.. the other variation is the width of the center pin.. some are thick some are thin..

Get the right size jack plug from Maplins, a piece of wire and a couple of crocodile clips. My TR001 seems to have a 2.5mm socket, though I've not measured it.

As trog says, the picture is of a mobile phone adaptor to USB A-Type. Handy if you have 25 different mobiles!

i have always had loads of little portable gizmos.. finding the right plug for the bloody things has been and still is a major pain in the arse.. the outer size is only part of the story.. the center pins are all different bloody sizes.. maybe one day some kind of standard will be arrived at.. maybe one day.. he he
5 volt USB is becoming a standard of sorts.. but there are still loads of oddities.. mostly stuff that isnt 5 volt.. USB can really only be 5 volt.. part of the standard..
