i would also like to add that once you are up and running with kit, juice, spares and mabye more kit the money saving's are huge.
i used to withdraw £100 cash on a monday to see me through the 5 day week and nearly £50 of that went of smoking !!! now i am finding i still have cash in my pocket on friday.
you have to take into acct the smokes, the mints and gum, the cost of getting rid of the smell of smoking (car and house) lighters.....the savings can be huge.

Only side affect I'm having is the damn mouth ulcers are back. Mind you that is not because of the vaping. Nothing to do with vaping at all so i've read. It seems there is something in fags other than nicotine that keeps these damn things at bay.
That said though, I'd rather have the ulcers than the risk of cancer.

Two words - Adult Bonjela - sorts the mouth ulcers out in four days max... excellent stuff...
bloody useless on thrush, though.

Mouth ulcers, only get them if I vape too many fruit flavour based juices.
Its like boiled sweets, they give me mouth ulcers too if I eat too many of them.
And the old favourite....Acid Drops !..gorgeous, especially the Spangle version..
Old fashioned sweets, you just dont see them anymore..
I used to love sweet tobacco, it looked like All-Bran, and tasted gorgeous.

Thing is with many fruit sweets, they contain citric acid which if concentrated in one spot on yer cheek lining by regular 'sucking' can result in a raw patch so to speak. Best keep 'em moving!
I think there are outlets for the really old fashioned sweets, it's finding 'em! Loved that kids tobacco meself, essentially shredded coconut if I recall, and I'm a coconut fan. But not very PC as tobacco, or remember the kids cigarettes that nobody batted an eyelid seeing their kids 'puffing on' and pretending to be grown ups! Oh dear...

We did all of those things, chewing coconut baccy and puffing sugar cigs, shooting plastic guns and fighting foe wi' plastic swords, even laser weapons... and look how we turned out...
Is that an argument for... or against... can't make up me mind.
[I thought you were banned from yer computer until tomorrow for making Shirley cry after you nicked her scone at lunch and gave it to some random dog dropping a woopsie in the garden...]

Good luck to you I say and you're not wrong. Every cig less you smoke has to be good.
I was lucky, smoked for 50 years from age 11 and loved it. No real ill effects but was starting to develop a smokers cough and was wheezing a bit at bedtime so the ecigs solved the problem for me.
Still cannot understand how easy it was for me and from day two I was off the analogues even though I always told my wife and friends that nothing would stop me smoking.
No going back now as I'm lovin it and even if there is a ban and I had to travel to China to stock up I would.

well I have not voted, as I had joint pain prior to e-smoking, and as for numbing of the larynx, well I did a mean Dean Martin impersonation before, and do a great Johnny Cash now... so, no, age has deepened my voice, but thats normal isnt it?

Kenny... any ban would have means to get around it. Sure of that!!!!! Vendors have their 'Plan B's. I think our main adversary is not UK, but EU it seems. I wish they would get off the case and simply go away! I'm getting very intolerant of more EU legislation... especially when very few members adopt it effectively. British gentlemen invariably do. One really does want to say "Feck Off"!

The EU wheels turn very slowly John so lets hope that by the time they get their act together that there will be too much opposition.
I'm sure you're right about the vendors and plan B as they are survivors.

2.5 years in..
first off.. my chronic cough literally disappeared overnight.. conclusion my cough was caused more by the daily irritation of smoking than long term damage.. a big plus this one and totally unexpected.. it is for real..
first off.. dry mouth syndrome and funny alteration in voice if the intake was over done.. sqeaky.. like micky mouse.. he he
longer term.. sticky mouth feeling.. greasy skin..
longer term.. clear sticky phlegm.. has to be coughed up and got rid of.. not good and has been reported by others.. i dont use VG.. this phlegm thing is reported and i think is long term e smoking related.. it seems to be over a year in thing and think it is a genuine concern..
longer term.. joint aches.. well i remember them before e smoking but they have gone away.. i had to keep turning over in bed due to shoulder aches.. i no longer suffer from this so if anything joint aches have got less..
longer term.. odd sweet smelling urine.. and no it aint because my sense of f-cking smell has got better its for real.. cause unknown but could be e smoking related and has been reported by others.. i think it is e smoking connected even if it does sound daft.. ..
longer term.. i dont seem to have suffered from a head cold for as long as i can remember.. i just dont get them any more.. some suggestion that the "vapour" acts as an anti bacterial agent.. makes sense because steam has always been good for head colds and clearing bunged up noses.. an interesting one this..
longer term.. headaches.. no...
longer term.. do i feel generally better.. dunno but losing the cough was the *miracle* biggy for me.. that one on its own was good enough.. i can live with the other possible downsides..
i am of an age where some things could just be age related my bits and bobs are wearing out.. he he.. but e smoking isnt all good.. the carrier we use isnt ideal.. the stuff might be considered safe but puthering in huge clouds of it every day really is a big unknown..
my own views.. i consider e smoking the lesser of two evils.. quitting completely would be best but some of us aint up to that.. i worry more about the "carrier" than the nicotine.. i favour the less "carrier" and more nicotine approach..

On your last point, Trog, some of us were "puthering huge clouds of it" on a daily basis as part of our everyday jobs in venues and theatres up and down the country, and all of the testing has already been done - it's as safe as it can be, else we'd have to wear respirators in order to work with it. And I'm talking quantities and densities that would have some folk as jealous as all hell - low-lying (chilled) vapour that so dense it's impossible to see through it, with a hang time of ten minutes, produced at 15,000 cubic metres per minute. That's some atomiser.
the fluid constituents are, in no particular order, Propylene glycol, glycerin, dipropylene glycol and distilled/de-ionised water.
So not that big an unknown - actually, quite well known.

point taken dave some folks do seem to have survived what could be described as a not entirely healthy environment.. smoke machine vapour.. fag smoke.. drink.. being deafened.. drugs.. random sex.. smelly bogs.. bouncers.. the local neighourhoos dick-heads.. getting arrested outside for pissing in the street.. the local kebab shop.. the taxi ride home..
it brings back fond memories.. he he..

20 months in all side effects which included:
Coughing up mucus with brown specs.
Aching muscles : bananas are great for that.
Insomia due to too much nic at night, I only feel tired when I've been awake far too long and am out like a light when I do. I still only sleep 5-6 hours now where it used to be 8-10 hours but never wake up feeling groggy as I did all the time I smoked.
Weight gain - have put on 1.5 stone, mostly in the last 6 months, was never overweight and I'm only borderline now but boy do I feel healthy compared to when I smoked.
Voice : needed oiling well
Bleeding gums - switched to a much softer brush which worked fairly well, dentist was unconcerned blaming lack of fags.
Now:
No mucus - clear or not, unless its really cold,
Stress levels and nervous energy have decreased significantly - I blame my weight gain on that combined with improved sense of taste and smell as well as my body no longer having to compensate for being poisoned with carbon monoxide.
No more random worrying intermittent chest and head pains which I used to get regularly as a smoker - probably carbon monoxide related because health checks in hospital always said I was fine.
Occasionaly get a squeaky voice, a glass of water is enough to fix that.

Not had a sniffle since i started vapiing wheras before someone only had to sneeze near me and id have a full blown cold. As for the carrier good/bad i dont really care.
