I've put in absolutely minimal effort so far into putting together a quick reference guide for tanks (and associated carts).

Some of the information WILL be incorrect, its your job to correct me either via PM or post. Help in completing the spreadsheet would be much appreciated, I'm easily distracted as you can see by how little I've actually done on it. Ideas for additional fields would also be welcome.

The purpose is to identify tank/cartridge compatibility. For example you can start of with your favourite carts and see what differentiates the different compatible tanks. Or you can look for tank features and then decide whether you're happy to use the carts as well as affordability/availabilty of them (eg Smoktech DCC 2.5 ohms vs Boge 510 SR being one of the biggest differences). I know I've put the RTAs on there, in two minds whether I should take them off or add every half/psedo tank system out there on to the list.

@ GDW I have 34 posts, I have no clue whether half the information Im putting on to that sheet is total BS or not, eg is flanged DCC even a term, are all Smoktech DCCs compatible, etc. I'm not even sure what cartomisers are compatible with the non-Smoktech DCC ones, eg Big Daddy and the Siam Mods ones. Somehow I don't think manufacturers/vendors are going to be sending me free tanks/carts to fill out a few specs and test compatibility :p

if they did would your subjective conclusions be of any value :)

basically if everyone really is different one mans opinion is just that.. one opinion among many.. :)

trying to make sense of chaos aint easy..

tank/carto compatibilty chart is a great idea. for that purpose exactly. vendors usually have one carto/clearo form factor in mind. but we get it working with several others. i would really like to see this idea take off.

The Puff Daddy and Diddy tanks are available from here http://www.ecigwizar...en/31-puff-tank
6ml and 3ml capacity, delrin end caps, not sure about tube material. They take flanged dual coil cartos.

Dual coil tanks are also available from here http://www.healthcab...roducts_id=7939 and here http://www.liberty-f...duct.asp?id=157 and they appear to be the exact same products, although I can't be completely certain of that.

Digicig - Chibi Tank added - is this tank made by Parkes Vapours, dont see it for sale anywhere else.

wfx - Torpedo Tank added - Think I'm in over my head on this one as I had no idea what you meant by "standard metal CE2 ("pipe cut" or fluxo stem with wide o-ring)" my experience of CE2s is limited to the see-through (polycarb?) variety that comes in a range of sizes but no other options, didn't realise other options existed, could you point me to some examples so I can get an idea of what exists.
Also, apologies to silentoZ, I assumed he was calling the larger varieties of CE2s themselves tanks, not a seperate product which I didn't realise existed.

vogel - Amended all to say "See Vendor" where the vendor offers replacement carts. Will expand on the list of compatible carts only when someone confirms which branded carts work in each tank instead of making assumptions.

yompy - VPX added, I thought there was like a choice of 10 tanks all in, Im starting to regret picking this up.

Glamredhel - KM tank added. This is my dream tank (until I get a RTA), I wondered why no one was offering glass tubes/steel caps/boge 510 compatible.

capnHack - I don't want to show favouritism to any vendor or be forced to keep adding to the list of vendors to maintain impartiality so the puff daddy will remain vendorless. I forgot about the 510 DCT (&V2), theres also the Challenger and Warrior tanks from Safercigs which could be rebranded SmokTechs. Will wait on some confirmation before adding these.

Other notes:

If you see any others on the list that have multiple suppliers please let me know and I will remove the vendor.

Will get to work on the ones from Scott's list, its amazing how I've come across 90% of these at one point or another but you forget half of them even exist.

Not sure which thread to link to for Clockwork's RTA. Most orders are going through the discussion threads, is it appropriate to link the 30+ page one?

EDIT: I need serious help to fill out the cart compatibility list. I don't have much to call on from personal experience; limited to a Puff Daddy to tide me over till a RTA and possibly forking out for one of the glass tanks as a backup.

i didn't know about these either. not until erich from ecf pointed these out. best way i can describe the two torpedo ce2 options is with pics:

[1] steel ce2 cut with pipe cutter (vapor-age part #50 or you can cut yourself)

[2] fluxo ce2 stem with a new wide o-ring (hardware store plumbing supply)

right. there are just too many tank and carto/clearo combinations. that's why the OP list will be so useful. people will say "oh i have that one already and i can try this tank."

Good decision on the multiple vendors I think.

There's also the Vision Stone II from gotvapes.com, which is a 5ml tank with threaded steel caps, plastic tube (again don't know the exact material, sorry), which looks to take caseless CE2 style guts at 2.1-2.3 Ohms and comes with a black or white delrin drip tip. They say they'll have replacement guts soon but I think it's been saying that for a while now. Presumably you can mod a standard 510 CE2 to fit, since that's what most of their designs are based around. $12.95 (currently $11.95), 510 threaded.

On the same site is the Vision Grande 5ml "Tankomizer" which I don't know if you want to count or not. It's basically another CE2 style device like an even larger giantomiser and this time the entire unit is disposable; you can't replace the guts. It contains a modified CE2 core with 4 wicks instead of the usual 2, and has a custom mouthpiece. $9.95 in multiple colours, 510 threaded.

Although we're getting a great collection of tanks all in one place, I feel we're not much further in the compatibility stakes.

Would it be useful for me to request specs from each tank manufacturer for inner diameter + seal to seal minimum carto length? If we can then get the same for the cartos we probably could have a more dynamic compatibility system, however I might be missing something obvious here that makes my plan fall apart.

EDIT: Obviously this is just for your straight up cartos, the CE2 list would work differently.
EDIT 2: Could also add a column for 510/510 adaptor compatibility with regards to shorter cartos or the XL driptips I've heard as a suggestion.

yes, dimensions on these tanks from the manufacturer would be very helpful.
