The Janty Neo Classic

I bought the Neo at iVapour.co.uk - with an ickle discount as I spoke to Toby on the phone about a review of the Puromisers but he had no mouthpieces – so upgraded to the full kit and was offered some discount – Bless him. My review will still be my honest opinion – just so thee know! I'll be looking at this as a Starter kit – the Puromiser review cover in separate post tomorrow. Should also mention that I only find whistle tips tolerable on Auto batteries – so i'll grin and bear it!

It arrived the next day, and on opening the package the white box looks very nice.

The Janty Neo Classic Manual Set contains the following:
2 x Neo Airflow 650 mAh Manual silver battery with white LED
2 x Puromisers with 2 mouthpieces
1 x USB charger
1 x Wall adapter (supplied with UK or Euro plug depending on destination)
1 x Airflow regulator ring (gold)
5 x Extra silicone parts

When i spoke to Toby he suggested that he include a bottle of Janty Classic RY4 instead of the Wall adapter – which I swiftly accepted as I didn't have a 100% PG juice to hand.

When I opened the box it was wet inside, and immediately thought the juice had leaked, but the outside of the box was dry?
Turns out it was the primer from the Puromiser – which I had been warned about!
Checked the batteries and both had some charge – green light on the charger in fact - :good:

The Puromiser has a 'window' on both sides – the Logo side is clear, whilst the other has a bit of silicon plugged in which covers the side fill hole

Blew out the Puromiser Primer - put some of the Janty Ry4 into a squezzy 5ml bottle, attached a Spiky Thing and filled up to the bottom of the window – about 1.5ml(ish), swivelled the silicon back in place, screwed on the golden ring thing (airflow) and Puromiser and prepared to Vape.
It must be mentioned, because of the air flow ring, the Puromiser has a much smaller 'skirt' (a mini-skirt?) then other eGo type '-misers' – so should have less issues getting stuck if using on any device with an adapter.

5 clicks and ready to Vape.
First off – Clouds of Vapour – and this from 100% PG juice! :good:
I'd not tried the juice before but tasted good to – a subtlely sweet tobacco.
Not a bad TH either – and possible to increase it by removing the silicon cover from guarding the top hole.

I'd say that the Puromiser does take a wee while to break in, maybe ½ a 'tank' or so, but then good vapour and good if slightly muted flavour. The Vape it delivers is cool to warmish and like a lot of top coil devices – does benefit from being turned upside down as the liquid level drops to aid wicking and avoid possible dry/hot hits which I have experienced, though easily sorted. Either the airflow ring was fully closed, or turn upside down, count to five and carry on Vaping! Inverting it between tokes is the only way to use the whole tank – but with a Spiky Thing refilling is quick and easy so not really an issue.

Summary
I like this as a starter kit – less faff than the eGo T I had and more Vapour and Flavour.
It looks good, the Logo's can actually align and works very well.
The Batteries may not be regulated apparently but work very well – 6-8hours for me depending on usage – I think it was 4-5 on the first fill as I was toking it in as many ways as possible to find fault.

The batteries have about a 12 second cut off – and when I tried to hit that I was getting a hot and burnt taste by about 10 seconds – but carried on anyway!

I haven't experienced any leakage, or particular wicking problems either.

All in all this is a really good, well designed Starter kit for a beginner, though a more experienced Vaper might take issue with a couple of things. For instance:

The supplied Whistle Tip mouthpieces are the only ones that are designed to work with the Puromiser – as they have an inner tube connecting the 2 which could explain the lack of condensation build up and leakage. They are also stiff to move and found it easier to wiggle them off and then replace it.

To find an alternative to fit, however, is tricky as the size is awkward, as it's bigger than an 801 and smaller than an eGo mega type B – and then they wouldn't have the tube either! They are the longest Whistle Tips i've ever used but I did try it on a Tornado Auto battery and quite enjoyed the Vape as the Whistle Tip works fine for me then! Probably as orientating Mouthpiece and button aren't an issue.

The Puromiser isn't 'comfortable' going above about 3.6V on a Lava Tube for instance – though does give a warmer Vape. Much over that and it gets too hot and for me at 3.8V just not worth it.

Although the Flavour is quick to change - there is no obvious or easy way (without risking breaking it) to clean or rinse the Puromiser which is unfortunate - hopefully something will turn up on Youtube - or via Toby?

To conclude I could happily recommend the Neo kit to a new or early Vaper but not necessarily to the more experienced – tho would make a good back up.

Thanks Terry :good:
Was trying to do it as a Starter set and as such not bring a more experienced critique to bear on the Puromiser which would be unfair - as the kit works very well as a whole - especially if thee are just starting out or upgrading from an Elite etc.
The Puromiser vs Eliq carto (Riva Tank or eGo W?) i'll write and post tomorrow.

Nice review mate. These are definitely on the radar for when my eGo batts finally give up.

It may be a while though - They seem to have Ronnie Biggs levels of longevity. ;)

The batteries with the 5 clicks - cool lights and especially if unregulated are a definite improvement on me old Tornado ones.
Big J and i sound like we're going to swap Auto/Manual batteries for a week or so - i like Auto's.

The Puromiser needs to have a very good lifespan and hopefully a 'how to clean' vid appear on Youtube - before i can make a true decision upon it - certainly seems a good device for new Vapers though!
