been vaping for 5 weeks now but when i use it in public the looksm i get make me feel like im taking drugs or smoking a bong haha, anyone else feel the same

Thats funny , coz when I go out and use drugs in public I get some right funny looks . I worry they re gonna mistake it for an electronic cigarette ?

Joking aside I do get a lot of attention on the street vaping ....and I do look pretty dodgy at the best of times . I find the more blatant you are the less people assume . I havent been pulled for vaping but its gotta happen at some stage . Summat like Mikes Mikropipe is prolly the way to go to get your anonymity back .

yup i'm defo in the monkey's testicle bracket then, and dont really give a toss what folks think ,the first time i used a pv with an arry tank on it in public i was asked if it was drugs ...er yeah nicotine

Yeh Im a bit more self consious and stick with an SDK or Ego. I also use my Touchwood Mini but only when Im not on the sauce...for fear of loosing it .

Welcome Stagste. I have got used to getting strange looks and no longer worry about it especially outside. I do however stealth vape if I am indoors in a public area where smoking is not allowed.

Was in town today walking along the high street with the wife, happily vaping away on my 510 Box Mod which was palmed nicely with just the tip of a Boge carto and a drip tip poking out at the top of my hand, plumes of vapour behind me as usual, we made our way to the shopping centre known as "The Potteries Shopping Centre" for all you lot from Stoke, went in through the doors and got about 10 feet before a security guard sprang to attention with walkie talkie in hand saying "Excuse me mate, but you can't smoke in here, you'll have to about turn and go back out and finish it", at this point the wife said "here we go again" under her breath lol.
So while carrying on walking in a nice steady forward motion, I said to the security officai, "mate, cigarette smoking is banned in here isn't it"? he said "yes it has been for a few years mate", I held out my device to him and just said "but the shopping centre doesn't have a policy on the use of electronic cigarettes does it", he looked a little confused, so we stopped walking and I explained to him what it was, he said "that he'd have to call up to control", within 30 seconds the voice on the other end of the walkie talkie came back with "No, Dan you can't remove someone from the premises if they are not burning tobacco, the electric ones are fine".

That made my day that did, the whole shopping centre is now my playground, we went in Next, Clintons Cards and the Virgin Media Store and no one said a thing, I'm starting to feel really accepted now that I don't hide it, so not only do the First PMT bus company allow vaping but the local town shopping centre is starting to open it's eyes, maybe it's cause I don't hide it but officials can only quote the law, but if your not breaking the law, then they have to accept vaping as a given.

Stealth vaping Bah, you need Streak Vaping. If you streak while vaping, they tend not to notice whats in your hand. Well as long as it's your PV in your hand

Smoking in front of people was cool and accepted practise, vaping in front of other people just looks lurid, get used to it.

When one goes for a nice day out in Bristol Zoo, does one worry what the chimps think of one? No! .... One just hopes they don't throw their shit at one! But is this likely to happen in town? .... I doubt it.
