lol I'm new to all this too and still getting used to some of the reactions I'm getting. Was at work the other day and you should have seen the reaction of the chap next to me when I got out my little kit bag, assorted bottles of juice and syringe (complete with 4 inch needle) his jaw nearly hit the floor followed by a very audible "OMG!!! what are you doing???" hehehe, he is a smoker and then promptly joined me in a little toke of my very yummy cappuccino vape.... priceless... he now is in the process of getting his own little kit....

Hi stagste, welcome to UKV. I'm just down the road from you in Adlington.

I remember feeling self-conscious in public when I started vaping. Don't worry - it wears off very quickly.

In my experience , if you feel comfortable vaping in public , most folks won't bat an eyelid , and if they do pay them no heed .

People pick up on it if you feel self conscious at all , and then they will try and make you feel uncomfortable by staring - ignore them and carry on vaping , hell blow a few vapour rings there way !

We were vaping like good ens in the local doctors waiting room the other day and later on in a classy restaurant , you will get the odd look , but as soon as they see your comfortable with what your doing , they leave you be 9 times out of 10 .

It's never worth getting into a debate with them if they pipe up , just smile and vape on !

I'm one of the "don't give a monkey's" brigade too! Whip mine out wherever, whenever I feel inclined.
Forgot to say welcome Stagste, you've joined a right crowd here!

I have to admit I am nervous being around vapers. I have heard they sef combust. Congregating with fully armed battery armed missiles.

I think they may be a new form of russian roulette, suicide bombers.

Swaggering around with18650 Lithium-ion electrolites.

Basicalllly the lowest form of nicotine addicts. NOW BEING TRAINED IN STEALTH VAPING!!!

Coming to a bingo hall, flight, pub, shopping centre near you.

Something i learned from observation a long time ago: folk pick up on thy Bodylanguage - if thee look like thee should be doing something folk are less likely to pay attention to whatever thee maybe doing - if, in contrast, thee look even slightly self-conscious about something folk will focus on that instead. True of spots, being barefoot and these days of Vaping! icon_peace.gif

When one goes for a nice day out in Bristol Zoo, does one worry what the chimps think of one? No! .... One just hopes they don't throw their shit at one! But is this likely to happen in town? .... I doubt it. :)
made me think of this

couldn't agree more . most folk are not sure if your breaking the law - they rely on you body language to work it out . but lets face it - if they haven't the gumption to ask you what your up to - sod em !

There the nicer ones though - Some morons thrive on trying to make you feel uncomfortable to give themselves a misguided sense of power - sad but true .
