..been waiting nearly two months for someone to ask me that in the street but hasn't happened yet - still pondering my reply, lol, any veterans out there got some well worn comebacks?
Good evening, my maiden post, if you're reading this you must be a Saturday night stay in like me and therefore count the analogue days in decades. Well that would be my theory.
Have so much to say but really are new to vaping and to 'forums' so just sticking my toe in the water with a shout out - I don't really need to check my grammar and composition twenty times do I? Phew, that was exhausting, think I need a rest and a smoke now, oops that would be a vape wouldn't it!
And would you believe it I'm off to my garage for my fix, still, does anyone else still do that, lol?

Hello and welcome,
I personally am past the ''go outside'' or ''stand in the doorway'' phase and now sit wherever I am (preferably naked, no more burns to worry about these days you see
) and vape at will.
I have indeed been asked for a lighter a few times, in fact asked by some chavvy little kid for a cigarette too.. The easiest response (especially if you don't feel like explaining too much) is " no, I haven't got one as I don't smoke" then blow a huge vape cloud and walk off. Of course if you have an hour or so to kill feel free to explain it if you want

Hi tommk3cab,
Not so cold tonight in the garage. Hey looking at your photo you could be my twin! Thats probably an old joke. 'Wobblybob's' photo is a cracker.
Yeh scrounging a cig has ALWAYS annoyed me.
Hello Kenny. You're not really in Greece are you (probably cheaper to smoke than vape there, at least judging by my first two months experimental vaping expense!).
So perhaps I'll flash my eGo when asked for a light in the street and say "it's an iphonecig by Apple, called virtual smoking"

Well Hello Clarice...
Just joking, love a good movie.
On a serious note, after not so many weeks of drawing on hot flavoured air I can barely remember what my old combustible friends felt like, what EXACTLY that feeling was that we now strive so hard to imitate, the 'missing' element. I guess it must cross every vaper's mind to try one.
My question is; with the benefit of hindsight do those who have wavered wish they hadn't or did it strengthen their vapour journey? Have you wavered yet

I did
I gave up smoking for vapin in late 2010 and went right back to regular cigs because of temptation.
It has to be a choice that a person makes and they have to want it. in 2010 I didnt WANT it as badly as I did in January this year when I put my foot up my own arse.
EVERY once in a blue moon, I look for pack of smokes, only to realize how sickly they made me.

I've only just noticed your 'blog' and your sad discovery; wavering is not an option is it. You unknowingly answered my question more poignantly in your blog but I might not have seen it had you not replied.
Thanks and my thoughts are with you. As a distraction which movie did I quote from in my last post..

Many people report that that temptation (or maybe curiosity)you feel is easily killed/cured by trying one, most people find they are not at all how they remember them, "disgusting" is often quoted
There are some however that still have the odd cigarette and enjoy it. Nowadays though (IMO) vaping is more than a poor substitute for regular cigs (I think it is better, much better). The people that do have the odd one though are usually primarily vapers (at least on this forum) and they can ''take them or leave them'' so to speak.
I can't really say too much as "temptation" for a regular is something I have never felt as I made myself hate smoking that much before vaping came along. I smoked to excess, to the point where every night I felt quiet ill, I hadn't enjoyed smoking for some time and this helps me have no "temptation" I think as I remember clearly how ill they made me feel (I always will too)

Hi Willman!
I am fairly new to vaping (about 5 weeks now), but I did start off still going out to my conservatory to vape, now I don't bother, I vape in while I'm sat in front of the TV/PC etc. I still try to avoid doing it in front of the kids though!
Where I work there is one other guy who bought some ecigs from Tesco, and he uses them in the office, I still feel uneasy about that so still go outside. I also went to the pub for the first time last week since taking up vaping, I vaped in the pub and there were no questions asked, but I still went out a few time to the smoking area to vape - I always found you meet some interesting people and have some good chats while out having a fag, so I still do the same while vaping!
As for your above quote about a specific film, do you like a good chianti with fava beans (and maybe some liver)?!!!

Yes tomm.., truth is I hate/hated everything about smoking but felt totally lost and incomplete (etc, etc,,) without it - I still, pyschologically, regard myself as a smoker, and/but vaping has got me further so far than anything before.
Long journey and learning curve ahead..nice to talk about it

Mmmmm, I'm still stood out in the cold at work and in the garage at home - strange I know. It's all very strange. And interesting.
You haven't bought a lanyard yet have you!

Welcome from me too Willman, really enjoyed your posts and hope you make lots more. No, never did the stealth-vaping bit, haven't ever beaten myself up over taking the odd analog drag - uuugh and I agree the best come-back is "Sorry, I'm a non smoker".

I have to confess Dragonmum, I peeped at your profile and judging by your prose you posted your age the wrong way round!
Did you make the swap in November then!? May I/dare I, ask what your weapon of choice is (vaping)?
Oh no, wait a mo, I think Boadacia takes the biscuit (howsoever she keyed in her age!).....are you ladies pulling my leg...remember I'm new to forums and don't know the (unwritten) rules!
