how do you go about choosing an e-juice/liquid ?

i do not chew gum and am not a flavory type person. so i find it hard to choose a e-liquid that i like or may like. i do not want to be spending pocket loads of cash trying to find a juice i like but inturn end up with 100's of flavors i do not like.

i am not a sweet or savory person and to be totally honest only like the taste of GV smooth, i do not even like the standard GV taste.
i have tried the TW tobacco flavor and it is ok'ish, gah if i am honest i rather smoke a rollup than vape the juice.

i need help tbh. i have no clue what i will or will not like and money is at an all time low, a 10ml bottle has to last me two weeks atleast.
so where do i start ? how can i find something i will like when we all have different tastes in flavor.

the choice his huge just like the choice of e-cig kits / mods and all the other bits and bobs. it is a large minefield for us newcomers and a big wallet drain to.

reason i ask is because i keep going back to the thing that i should not be and thats my tobacco addiction.

I just bought loads of 5ml bottles until I eventually (and it took a few months) figured out what I liked and what I couldn't stand. You'll not go far wrong with any of the people in the Vendors section here in terms of service.

I might get flack for saying this but if you're still craving cigs so badly then maybe you're just not ready to make the switch? :)

No one's saying you can't smoke fags as well, either.

Give me a PM if you want and I'll chuck some sample tobacco-y flavours your way, FOC.

Unfortunately it appears to be a bit hit and miss.
In the five or so weeks since I started vaping I've been through dozens of sample bottles.
I pretty much gave up on buying on the strength of juice reviews after reading a glowing review of an Old Holborn juice - and having bought a bottle I then found out it wasn't even close.
So far I haven't found a single tobacco juice that's been palatable in the long term.

However, I've found a couple of semi-sweet juices that are quite nice (LF Tobacco Vanilla and VR Kentucky Vanilla), and when even these fail to satify I've found that a menthol juice makes a decent alternative. Not that I like menthol cigs that much, but at least you get what's on the tin...rather than someone's idea of what a tobacco should taste like.

Swapsies are an option - if you've got a handful of 5ml sample bottles that you can't get on with you might find someone on here willing to trade their similar collection.

Cheers,

Steve

Best way to try a wide variety of flavours in a short space of time is to get thyself along to a local Vapemeet or Cam ViP event and try as many of the juices as possible - when thee find one thee like make a note of it and keep sampling the other offerings. Within a couple of hours thee might have the names of several juices thee never would've thought of trying that thee know thee like on the set up thee use!

ok i took a risk.

went to safercigs and got a 5ml bottle of RY4 ( no clue what it is but looks popular with everyone )
and i also got a 5ml bottle of apple.

should one be leaving the lids off the liquids to let them steep more, would it make a difference say to the TW tobacco.

will try make it easystreet, but had a minor heart attack / angina yesterday and has taken energy out of me. was at rest to when it happened. need to have a chat with doc's as it was un - expected and after my surgery to.
will need to get some mixing solution i was looking at a small bottle of smirnof vodka today as a mixing solution, then just letting it sit for a good 24/48hrs to let the alcohol steep out

sorry to hear that mate, remember not to overdo the nicotine...

vodka works well for thinning VG heavy liquids.

some liquids benefit from steeping, some not so much. i find most chinese liquids have had plenty of time to steep in boats, planes and warehouses on the way. it's usually uk or fresh mixed juice that needs to steep...

is RY4 that stuff that comes in pre filled cheap e-cig cartomizers ?

just had this nasty thought and sweet taste in my mouth after checking mailbox.
when mixing two pre mixes together do i have to water it down type thing.

say i use a cartomizer cover and put one drop @ 1.8mg and another drop @1.8mg (two different flavors ) thats still 1.8mg and not 3.6mg ? and or 1/2 a bottle of RY4 and 1/2 a bottle of TW tobac still means the dose is 1.8mg ?

RY4 is generally a tobacco base with hints of caramel and vanilla (variations can have everything from hazelnut to cinnamon but nothing overbearing), so although not sweet sweet they are definitely on the sweeter side.

Mixing 1.8mg with 1.8mg will leave you with 1.8mg, the content stated is nearly always per ml.

As you are picky (as am I) and money is an issue you're best of starting blending your own from the start. You actually have it easier than most people not liking non-tobacco flavours who have to waste alot more trying to find whats nice for a vape and whats not as it doesn't always tie in with what you like to eat/drink. You could check out Flavour Art (not big on tobaccos so someone may have a better recommendation) and use this chart to match what you like, 7mls are about £3 each and you should be able to try out most of the range, the only expensive item really is your nicotine depending on whether you demand UK/EU manufactured or not.

really do not want to mess with the nicotine side of things, my health and my maths not very good at all.
so really just looking at mixing already made e-liquids. just a couple days for the apple and RY4 to turn up
and i can start the long road to a single taste i am looking for.

It's already been said. There are loads of vapers in Norwich/Norfolk who meet up. Assuming you are able to - try to meet people and get to try a few tokes of different flavours.... that's the cheapest way to find something that's at least palatable while continuing your search for that elusive perfect vape. :)

It can be quite fun to occasionally chuck a couple of completely weird flavours in with an order if they're cheap (5ml or so). For example, I really don't like bananas but I got some banana flavouring and it's actually quite nice in vapour form. If you aren't a particular fan of sweet or savoury, the nutty flavours might please. They're often quite delicate with a buttery feel and mix well with everything I've thrown them at so far too. Hazelnut truly is lovely, but I wish it was stronger.
