Hi,
I was hoping my liquid would arive today but it hasnt and i'm down to the last 1 or 2ml off cherry I have left.
I do have ( i think ) everything I need to make up a batch but havent actualy tried it yet. Was going to have a bash at it at weekend. Most of the things i'v read say to leave it 24 hours before using but i'' be climbing the walls by then.
Does anyone know a quick recipe I could knock up from the following to get me through tomorrow:
Would like around 26mg at the end.
52mg Juice
vodka
VG (from morrisons, looks very thick)
decedant vapours back cherry flavour.
cheers

50% Nic Juice
15% Flavouring
Top up with your VG diluted with a bit of vodka
So for 20mls
10 mls nic juice
3mls flavouing
7 mls thinned VG
15% Flavouring

I'd thin down the VG with some Deionised water (if you have some) or you can use the vodka but it will add throat hit...I use Boots VG and thin it down about 4 to 1.
For a 10 ml mix, try 5mls of the 52mg nic base, 1ml flavouring and 4ml (diluted) VG...if you have PG nic base juice it should come out at about 60/40 PG/VG and it should be 26mg.
Edit: The flavouring is really down to preference...I like really strong flavouring (I tend to mix around 20 - 25% flavouring) but if it has a high alcohol content it might react with polycarbonate and I've had issues with cherry flavourings doing this before... hence the 1ml recommendation. Putt suggests 15% and if you aren't using a poly tank, 15% will give you better flavour.
Good luck with it.

That can be a subject of quite heated debate but around 20 drops per ml depending on the size of your dropper

Just use percentages... substitue the mls for drops. Whatever quantity you mix, you'll need to use half the quantity of the 52mg base to get a 26mg mix.
So if you wanted to make a 100 drop mix, you'd need 50 drops of the 52mg and make up the remaining 50 drops with your flavouring and diluted VG.

You really don't need to be too accurate with your measures except when it comes to the nicotine base. The rest you can just estimate by eye and you'll get something quite nice (although you won't be able to precisely reproduce it in future). I would avoid adding any water or vodka until the rest is mixed up. Put the lid on the bottle, shake it up properly, and see how thick it looks. With VG it'll be thicker than PG (no bad thing) but water and vodka really thin that out surprisingly fast and it's easy to go beyond PG thinness before you realise what's happened. It's better to test some liquid that's a bit too thick than end up with a whole bottle that's so thin it just floods anything you put it in.

I'v just bottled a batch. Measurments are a bit suspect but it's got to be better than the evil 30ml bottle of tobaco that mocks me every time I look in my liquid draw.
I should be ok till about dinner tomorrow then I'll be giving this a bash....
quite excited, how sad is that.
thanks for all your help

Not sure about that Capnhack...adding vodka/water to the completed mix will lower the nic and flavouring... best to pre thin the VG imho.

Oh, sorry yea I should have specified. Mixing it up to the right ratio for the size of the bottle but leaving about 10% of the necessary VG out to begin with is the way to go. Then test that and it'll only have marginally more nic than it will when filled up (which shouldn't affect the taste), and you can add small amounts of water/vodka and VG until you have the consistency right and more flavouring if necessary until the whole bottle is filled to the top. That way you get the nic content, flavour strength, and consistency right without having to take any risks with adding too much or little of something.
So, work out the ratios, subtract ~10% from your 0 nic base ingredient, and then mix up the bottle. Then do the fine tuning in that remaining empty space you left at the top of the bottle.
