Hi got a lavatube that I am a bit disappointed with as it is supposed to be regulated but vapour does go down about 3.7 and less. Normally use 3.7 carts LR

I want to get a really good one if you can recommend one and where I can get it? England would be best please but if you know a good product from good company say America I would buy from them! Thanks for your time. Mark

If you want a regulated voltage, and one that won't drop, and consistency, you might be best off with a mod made by a few here. See my sig'. As even the Pro-Vari will fail, with error messages if your resistance is not to it's liking. Have a look in the Modmakers threads.

If you don't dislike the looks (which most seem to), you won't do better than a Darwin.

Yes I don't like the Darwin !! Something round metal or plastic.something like my lavatube which by the way the manufacturer says there is nothing wrong with it as detailed by e mails from America they say they are regulated but the vapour does fade away? Does everybody else's do this? Read there is one called provari that is meant to be good? Is it? Or am I wasting my money as lavatube works like everyone else's ?

The provari is a great vv mod but expensive, there has been some debate about wether there is much difference in performance between it and the lavatube, some say yes, for me I didnt really notice, but I do own a provari, use it everyday and its never let me down, I know you said you want a "tube" type mod, but there are a few mod makers on here who make vv box mods which are cheaper than the provari, Styl3r, Stig,Throathit all make them and Garry Dibley will be making some soon, check these out mate, as the one I got from Styl3r blows the lavatube out the water IMO :)

Hi,

I have the LT, and from what I've read, LR carto's do not work over about 4.0v, I've never used an LR before, I've always stuck to SR or HR which give out great vapour and flavour.

I've now been introduced to the Tank by a member here (thanks Ian), these are great, I'm vaping at 5v which I've never been able to do before due to that burnt taste, it's great!

Forgot to add ... I've never had the vapour drop off unless the battery is near depletion, that's at about 3.4v

Tatty bye all, it was nice while it lasted.

As far as "really good" vv mods go the Provari is untouchable. Protection circuitry will always kick in though & drop the output to safe confines when using LR. Whereas the LT self adjusts the Provari will display an error message until you progressively drop the voltage to within the safe parameter. To get the best voltage range from any VV device you should stick between 2.8 & 3.2ohm cartos/attys.

Contact the StiG, he's the one with the cat licking avatar. Also look for his thread in the 'Modifications and DIY' and 'MOD Sales' threads. He's amiable to PM too. :)

If you want a tube mod but not keen on paying the price of Provari, get something cheaper like a Don, silver Bullet or Cube, usually find some of these in the classifieds for a bit cheaper.

Then, get a Kick when they come out soon, and an 18500 battery.
