First off hi nice to meet you all
glad to find something like this forum :)

I've tried vapeing before with a basic £10 510 kit ,ditched it after a while for the usual reasons battery ran out to quick etc.

I think its about time I gave it another try this time doing some research before buying.

So I was just wondering what people's opinion was of ego-t starter kits verses making something up like an ego battery paired with a carto.

I like the idea of the ego-t but the attys look pricey for disposable component where the cartos look better value but there are so many variants I have no idea which one to get sr, lr, clear, steel, single coil, dual coil and of course all manufactured by companies I've never heard of.

This must be what it felt like to my grandparents when they went computer shopping.

Hi! Yeah its pretty daunting, getting the right starter kit its the difference between becoming 'one of us' or turning back to the smellies! I started on an ego nearly 2 years ago and done me ok but there are imo better starter kits around these days. However there is nothing wrong with the ego variants if thats what takes your fancy.
Whatever you go for I would recommend cartomizers rather than atomisers as they are cheap, perform well and relatively easy to use. Personally I would recommend a 808 rather than a 510 kit to start with (different thread connector). I still use my http://www.jacvapour...arter_kits.html daily and I have big shiny mods, pipes and all sorts of geek kit that Im sure your be interested in when you get going! The reason I like these is because for their size they perform well and they are the closets thing to really smoking for me as they are auto batts that you can hold in your mouth (good for driving) Another example of said kit would be http://www.ivapour-e...olt-silver.html only difference being it dosnt come with a portable charging unit, it does however come with two batteries and I definately recommend that whatever kit you get you pay out for more than one battery because as soon as the battery dies your be dashing out for fags! With any kit you will need to buy a bottle of juice to go with it as the carts wont last long before needing to fill em! With these kits you should only be paying about 15 quid a month on new carts and juice. (beats the 80-100 quid a month I spent on fags!).

Good luck!:)

the volt kit looks nice - BUT, for the same price you can buy a good eGo kit from cavecom http://www.cavecom.c...pSD/sdego.shtml each big battery will easily see you through a day - if you want cartomisers (like the volt) buy something like these too (they'll fit on your ego) http://www.ecigwizar...h-soft-cap.html

Remember to buy eliquid too!

Like Wyx, I recommend (510) cartomisers - I never really got on with 510 atomisers. LR cartos give better flavour, vapour and throat hit.

If you bought the above ego, you can still buy a tank system at a later date to add on to it.

My ego is a year old, I broke one of the batteries last week. I bought mine for £35 in a sale at Totally Wicked who are quite expensive normally compared to other vendors.

Get the eGo-C. It's a big step forward compared to the eGo-T. You just replace the attys, not the cone so it's much cheaper to run. :)

Some people have had issues with burnt taste & leaking with Ego T. I had the burnt taste issue, and if I had started off with this, I would have gone back to smoking. Starting out - keep it simple - you can always experiment later, and as another poster stated here earlier an Ego type battery with cartomisers / dual coil cartomisers is a very good step up.

Do you mean Ego C? I'd just get a couple of Ego batts, a charger, some cartos and juices. Done.

to be honest im thikning maybe i shouldnt have got an ego c starter kit and instead just got a couple of ego c batteries and some ego mega dual coil cartomizers.

Im finding I dont really use the replaceable atties and even bought some low resistance ones to try but still going back to the mega dual coils

Well my question has become obsolete for me at least.

It seems my other half wants me off the analogs and annoyed at me umming and ahhhing more than I thought so she bought me a present :D

I've now got a 650mha ego-t kit from liberty flights AND a DCT from TotallyWicked AND some "spikey things" :)

I may well buy one of the £30 ego kits mentioned above purely for the bigger batts and extra charger

instead of buying another kit for extra batteries you could always get a lavatube.

I tend to use my lavatube more when indoors and take my egos out as theyre a bit more discreet.
