Curious About Moving To No Nicotine Juice

Hello,
I love menthol, which has it's own rewards regarding a 'hit' so I am slowly trying to move toward low nicotine or no nicotine.
I could vape continuously when I am working at my computer, so I'd like to do this with no-nic I think. I am not anti-nicotine, it just seems I might be wasting a drug habit on something that's a bit more like a physical habit - the actual act of vaping, and having something to play with.
I'v gone from 24mg, to 18mg, to 11mg and have just bought some 8mg. I haven't really figured out how to accurately measure my consumption which would be necessary to test this experiment, as obviously I might be guzzling twice as much since I started reducing strengths.
Anyone else have any experience of this? Who's a no-nic vaper?
Cheers,
Lucinda

You could have 2 juices/devices on the go and just try it without measuring anything...see how long you can use the nic free juice before any "cravings" for nicotine appear ?
You may find they don`t appear and the physical act is enough

That's a good idea. I'm on very low nic liquid now (~4mg) and I've noticed that I can't take the stuff with over 10mg anymore. It's not harsh on the throat, it's just that it inevitably causes a cough on exhale, so if you do try 0nic for a while you should go back on the stuff at a lower strength just incase you end up coughing up your lungs with the liquid you're using now. After that you may find you never have to go back to your old strength anyway, and then you can start saving some more money by doing some DIY mixing. Do be aware that 0nic vapour feels like normal air for the most part (there's no body to it) so you might find yourself overburning the coil because you think nothing's coming out. Adding just the tiniest portion of menthol can help with this and ensure you don't start coughing up burnt plastic fumes or whatever.

I`m also a chain/habit vaper and although I`ve reduced to 6mg a few months ago I still think it may be too much, especially sometimes when it`s continuous.
I already mixed up my next batch of bottles yesterday and had reduced that to 5mg, no specific reason just a spur of the moment decision - but I reckon I could go even lower without noticing.

I think the whole concept of reduction and weaning oneself to lower Nic's, is a good idea. Makes me cringe a little when I see some posting here they need more than 36mg, and I tend to think it's more likely they're doing something wrong with their set-ups. No matter what our conciousness tries to delude us into denying, we are all still drug dependant. I never liked this when I smoked, and don't now I vape.

Depends on how you define an addiction really. We all have an incredibly strong chemical addiction to oxygen and a physical addiction to breathing, so if you don't wanna be addicted to anything there's really only one option (just to stop this before someone starts it, yes I know there's a difference between necessary and unnecessary chemicals, it was a joke). There are worse things than nicotine to be addicted to tho and, whilst I think that lowering it to under 16mg is a good idea for everyone in health and economical terms, it does have an effect and can be particularly helpful for those with anxiety issues. One of the things I love most about vaping is that we get to choose how much, if any, nic we want at any time and there's nothing to stop us using 0nic most of the time but keeping a bottle of weak stuff off on the side just incase things get heavy. I still don't like that I can't feel the vapour without any nicotine at all tho, so I'll probably stick with my ~4-6mg stuff.

Each to his own, whatever lights your candle etc etc. I buy 30mg and dilute to 24-26. Tried 18mg and would have been back on the analogs - I was climbing the walls! A fairly harmless little pastime ours, with or without Naughty Nic

Nicotine isn't necessary for throat hit. I've used a certain dark-green herbal zero-nic juice with a fantastic nicotine-like throat hit happily for days at a time. You really can't tell the difference on that count. It's an acquired taste, though, like OKSmokey.

Do you have a link for us? I'd be interested to try it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Going to get myself a second mod, and try using that one for no-nic / lo-nic vaping.
I am very curious about that green juice suggested by Onceupon, although you're right about the website, it's very messed up and doesn't inspire confidence.

Now, Boada-Cia, please correct that spelling error in your quote of mine.
