today my carts arrived from safercigs. with my ry-4 and apple juices.
the cart took 20 drops to fill, and after a 15 min rest i loaded up the ego battery. first couple of vapes i had a burning toffee taste nothing like tobacco and caramel flavor most describe of the ry-4.
so i pop the cart of to check the atty is not flooding/burnt out, to my horror i find the plastic on the cart has melted, i know i have fitted the cart correct and fully seated, but this plastic is melting in my atty.
why is this happening, should it happen, what should i do ?.
have just got back from docs and had to plea with him not to send me back to the coronary care unit, he was glad i have started to stop smoking, but now i am between a rock and a hard place. now to scared to use my bauways and carts with this melting plastic problem.
has anyone ever had this melting cart problem, and how did you solve it.
oh and safercigs have been very good, delivery as quick as a racing pidgeon, and decent prices, so no blame on daz's part he been an awesome vendor

with direct dripping, you just screw the atty on the battery, pop about 3/4 drops in to prime the atty, then put a 510 drip tip in and vape it. add a couple of drops every X puffs before it gets dry, you want to keep the atty wet. i say every X puffs, because we all take different size drags, but about 4/6 give or take...
you'll have to chuck the atty with plastic in sadly mate, it'll be buggered now

the attys i purchased said bauway 510 standard, but when they came the packet had the lettering LR on it. so i take it they sent me LR attys not standard.
below i have added pictures, two show the burning right on the lip edge, the other is a none used empty cart.
am off to the shop i need a nic fix and thrown away my old cartomizers, also spent my allowance for the two weeks on these cart's + juice

has cost me a small fortune, more that what i spend on tobacco tbh.
fished the old carto's out of the bin, shall rob a rollup from a friend until i have them washed out boiled and cleaned up. hopeful they will last a week or so till i can get my hands on a clear tank. i think i will be best of getting a tank system and not have the hassle with silly attys and carts again. it has also put me right of the hangsen RY4 stuff most disgusting taste i have ever had , akin to chewing a toffee sweet while sucking on an old ciggy butt.
it is not daz's fault. i did order standard attys so think they done the best and sent LR without knowing i would use carts. but that said Vendor sites do need to pull a finger out and mention that lr attys should NOT be used with plastic cart's. i visit a few vendor sites and each is very sketchy on the item info, copy and paste comes to mind

Awww
You'll find that you spend quite a bit til you find your happy place. I have found mine and have spend roughly 100 pound the first month, as you can see by my sig, I've spent just under half of what I've saved.
My husband also switched with me, so double my savings...I've spent that on new flooring and a new computer
It will begin to add up and make sense.
What kind of cartos did you fish from the bin and are you sure theyre actually kaput?

attys and carts are a bit silly really, but only because they're a bit outdated now.
like i said before, if you want to come down to that vape night at the plasterers, can show you lots of different systems, and you can see what you'll like

the old carto's are the ones i used with my TW tobacco juice. i did do a slight mix and dropped about 10/20 drops of apple into the tw tobacco. first test direct to atty, it needs to sit for a while the bacco flavor is overpowering the apple tinge but it is there and tastes kind of like apple baccy, needs some work before i can call it tobapple

LOL
You'll find your happy medium I promise. My husband swore "I have to have a tobacco flavor for this to work" Now he hates them!

You should definitely contact the vendor and say you were sent LR instead of SR atties and I'm sure most would immediately send out the correct items at no extra cost to you. The customer service is something I've overall been very impressed with from UK vendors and even tho mistakes will sometimes happen, they get fixed properly and in short order.
I also second (or third or whatever) what others have said about liquids and other bits you find you don't like. Vaping is highly subjective and what's horrid to you may be gorgeous to somebody else, and that somebody else will pay you for the stuff you don't want if you offer a bit of a discount over brand new prices. Edit: May not apply to crab flavoured liquids.

i now need something for my juice, without any plastic parts at all. this has put me off going anywhere near bauway attys and those plastic refillable cartridges ever again. i still have a taste of burnt toffee plastic in my mouth and thrown 5ml of juice down the toilet.
what can i use now on my ego battery, i looked for a tank but will cost me £16 for the caps and £5 for the body, then factor in cartomizers its pushing beyond a standard kit price e-cig. my fave store has no bud tanks and i am very wary buying the ego tank and the cart's to fit it. i dont like cartomizers much (juice lips) and sure will not be touching atomizers and carts again. dripping is something i will not do either, i dont trust attys no more and they cost an arm and a leg.
ideas please ?
spent nearly £100 in past 3 weeks on these eletronic devices.
i usualy spend £3.45 on tobacco a week. i cannot justify the cost

It doesn't seem like you want any faff, so forget the carto tanks. They require either the correct prepunched cartos or you punching a hole in them yourself, and that can be frustrating if you don't get it right the first few times.
Also avoid the various small tank things like Buds and Ego-T things because they can leak and so on.
This basically leaves you with cartos or clearos.
Clearos (CE2 Ultimates or Vision Extreme/Ultimo) are great if your PV isn't going to get bashed around because you can see how much liquid is left, you can clean them, and if you get the types just mentioned they're easy to refill too. The downside is that they can sometimes leak a bit if leave them on their side and don't take kindly to getting bashed around.
If that sounds like too much faff then back to the standard cartos it is. Boges (or the XL variant) are simple to use and work on any battery and if you get a 510 drip tip to stick in the end you won't be getting any juice in your mouth with them either. Unlike the clearos, they have filler so that muffles the taste a little and means you can't see how much liquid is left in them, but they will take a real beating and are great for taking out and about.

they do cost more but even if its only a week its still pretty cheap, but as some others have said, boge cartos which are about a fiver for five, work really well, get rid of the white tip, bung a drip tip in and you should be sorted, i usually get 3-4 days from one so 2 packs does me a month
if its any consolation mate, we have all been there, dissapointed in the latest purchase or juice etc, but once you get a few flavours you like and a set up you are happy with the savings soon grow,

at safercigs,
you can buy hangsen menthol £4.50 for 10ml.
or 470ml for £44, which works out to about £1.06 for 10ml.

i really have spent a small fortune .. £180 or so in the 1st month but its still a lot less than my analogues for sure. i noticed you dont smoke heavy anyways, £4pw on tobacco is pretty good and can see your frustration with it all.
you have a decent bit of kit to vape with which is part of your misison complete, just finding the right liquid and carto to use is next. for tobacco id literally just go for something like ivapours tobacco at 36mg. still has that sweet aftertaste but will certainly keep you off the rollups if you can get past the initial 'hit' of the stuff.
