I run High Fidelity Studios - a rehearsal and pre-production suite that does some recording and video. For my sins, I'm a drummer, although my time is mostly spent behind the desk driving live sound these days, a function I absolutely love.

I know what you mean about enjoying Sound Engineering, I got into it as a student for various local bands using gear that a friend had as he worked (still does as far as I know) at Polydor.
I was targetted to learn various instruments as a child when a hearing test revealed I had perfect pitch, but when it was later revealed that a fatal flaw in that plan was a total lack of musical talent it was abandoned.
Mind you years of rock concerts and firearm concussions soon took the edge off the perfect pitch hearing so nowt lost

Dave I think that last video wasn't showing because of forum settings, I've changed them now - try editing your post with just the straight link (you might have to remove the existing link and re-add it) and see if it works.
I envy anybody involved in the world of music - something I've always wanted to do but life never led me down that path. Ah well, maybe in my next life...

Dave, I also did some drumming though now mainly play guitar.
At the moment I'm trying to get to grips with Reaper and Komplete 6 to make some backing tracks.

Hi Quick drum lesson
Right hand counts to 4 (tap right leg 1 - 2 - 3 -4 and repeat (Hi hats)
Left hand on 3 (tap left leg on beat 3 ) - (snare drum)
Right foot on 1 (stamp on number 1 - (Bass drum)
You right hand plays the hi hats on a drum kit (unless you are left handed), the hi hats are the conductor of the drum kit so it taps every beat ( do not stop !)
Now your are a drumming !!!!
