Hi All,

Being the impatient one of the bunch I gave a call to Westone Manor Hotel lastnight. Thanks Cat for allowing me to give them a bit of a kick....Below is the information I received in an email today from the hotel:

Dear Cassandra
Thank you for your email i would like to confirm that you have a booking with us from Friday the 22nd October till Sunday 24th October cost is per person based on two sharing is £79.00 with a half of bottle wine each.(that's 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners!)
We will require a deposit now and the final payment to be made a month before hand. Regarding the conference room we will do this for you complimentary for the Saturday and Sunday but if any coffees required they will be chargeable.
Look forward to hearing from you


just to clarify that if you want to go as one person cost is 59.95 per night. also 79.95 is per couple for one night so 2 people will pay 79.95 each for the two nights....


...so I have asked them for a price for individuals/couples to put in a booking to reserve a room and will have a date by which you should all do so today/tomorrow....

That's good news. So seven or eights weeks remaining to book... Wasn't somebody going to start a room share thread?

hey jaded....we need to reserve/book the rooms asap and pay final amount by 24th september (8 weeks yes)or thereabouts.....but don't forget to BOOK ASAP the number is above to do so but i'll add updated info on how to do so once i have it(cost etc.)

i'll start a roomshare thread now ; o)

now the venue is set can anyone definitely coming(and if/how many people you are bringing) put a post in here please...need to get out the calculator for the hotel...need nummmbers : o)

Ok, we're booked in for the Saturday.

My husband called and spoke to Madelaine - even after mentioning Vapefest she was going to charge us 90 odd quid for a double room, after telling her that's not the price we were quoted for the group she did agree to 79.95. Just a word of warning, if they quote the wrong price remind them of the group price we've been given.

Oh, and we booked by debit card (we have no credit card and others may be in the same boat so thought it a good idea to mention that), no deposit taken and full amount to be charged on departure.
