Thanks Tyke, good news.

Just wanted to add that the tornegova is not a 3.7V device. If you get one, do not expect to get a decent hit out of standard 3-3.4ohm atomisers, you'll need to purchase atomisers of 2.4 ohm or lower to get the best out of it.
Everything else has pretty much been said already.

codswallop !!
that's all I'm gonna say on that.

I get a reading of 3.4V on all of the Riva and eGo batteries I've tested, bar one, which read 3.9V (I took this to be one where the wrong PCB had been installed, or it had failed).
It's designed (like Joye 510 batteries) to work with Joye atomisers which usually come in at around 2.4 ohm.

3.45v on all 4 of the Mega Tornado batteries I've just tested and the same on the standard Tornado batteries, they're all recently charged. I've got a decent meter too so it's accurate.

Thanks Tyke,
I don't believe charging level matters on these anyway, since I believe the PCB is designed to ensure an even 3.4V is delivered until the charge drops below a certain level, when the LED flashes and they will not activate at all.

Yup in the past I vaped one for 4 hours which is no more than an hour or so off being flat for me and it read as 3.4v so I think you're right, it's a regulated output until it can't sustain it then it goes "dead".
One of my batteries does feel flatish for about 20 mins before it dies, but that's had 7 months of heavy use.

I had heard (but haven't actually tested) that the Tornego batts were of a slightly lower voltage, but I was under the impression (from reading other forums) that the Riva's were 3.7v.
As I say though, I haven't actually tested them myself. Matters little to me anyway, as I only use standard atties at 5v these days.

Yep, some of the Rivas from my current batch appear to be set at 3.8, some at 3.7V, some lower.
Some of the Rivas also have the word JOYE on the battery inside, some don't.

Screwdriver received
Very sleek, sturdy device & vapes like a steam train. Only problem I've had is my inability to put it down, feels too good in the hand
Thanks again Raff for your amazing generosity,

I am a screwdriver fan. I like bottom buttons which is actually something I originally thought I'd hate about it.. I've got a selection of them now MkIs and IIs. After settling in with the MkII I can say I like both equally well, I can also see why people might not, horses for courses I s'pose.
I have two 510 SDs that both died very early deaths, they have a weak point in the connector that the 901s don't, I can see my 901 MkIs outlasting me actually.. Anyway, the centre of the connector spins when you screw in and unscrew atties. What happened with both of mine was the wire inside didn't spin inside the grommet as it's designed to, it bit in and over time twisted off and broke the connection to the battery. Probably best to try and not fiddle with screwing and unscrewing the atties too much if possible, easier said than done with a new toy!
They won't all go obviously, but both mine did and I've heard of a few others, so I'm guessing there's a weakness there in some.
Managed to fix them, they work as good as new but they're not quite the same internally anymore, gutted them, no solder, wires or springs in there now. Nothing to go wrong

Get some of these batteries for the SD: http://kaidomain.com...?ProductId=5319
They seem to give a better vape, don't know if they're slightly higher voltage when fully charged..
I've not had any problems with the MKII SD mis-firing, it works perfectly everytime!
