Very true, I have also heard that one. Another strange British law for you, it is illegal for an MP to wear a suit of armour in Parliament. I suppose that includes Kevlar armour, which sounds quite promising. It is also illegal to die within Parliament as well, you have to wait until you get outside.

Speaking of cats, as I'm sure we all were, in 19th century Belgium cats were used to deliver the mail. They only stopped this practice in 1870 after it was decided that cats aren't terribly reliable.

Did you know that up until 1976 a taxi was required by law to carry a bail of hay in the boot.
