He's as good as his word... and wise, to boot. Very sensible move...

Now, if he can just keep the prices the same... ;)

E-cigs are not "quit smoking" devices - they are an alternative way to smoke, but with a much reduced risk profile. Believe this - it's true. E-cig users are NOT quitters.

A very sensible decision on his part and it shows he's listened to his customers concerns on this matter.

Well done Mr Cropper.

Agreed, well done Mr Cropper, now all we need is a few bits and pieces donated to Vapefest, for us to auction or raffle ( to pay room hire costs ) as a mark of appreciation to his loyal supporters... :wavespin:

I take it that until there is a new 'mature' site, the TECC branding will continue over at TW. Can't wait to see what the new 'look' or even new name will be like. One thing for sure, whatever the outcome of this consultation business, there will be a continuing market for e-cigs, only likely to grow when mainstream supermarket offerings bring them increasingly to public attention. Often it isn't until ones more mature years that you are forced to face the full reality of decades of smoking... you really do have to quit the fags NOW or face a breathless middle age, and an earlier demise... and I know Jason will be catering to this market most efficiently ;)

You know what... it would be GREAT if Jason could CONTINUE to offer NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY a tornado compact kit at £15, one per customer. Not only would this be a great way to allow new users to get a real taste of vaping with such little outlay, but surely there are then profits in after sales of consumables for those newbies who then continue vaping. And encourages vendor loyalty? A thought... Posted Image

I agree it, though it's not my profit margin that's going to be affected. It certainly might entice new customers and after they've tried that they'll surely continue. Everyone I know who's had an eGo (off me :p) has continued vaping and quit or partially quit and bought more batteries atomizers and juice. That couldn't be said about those I'd try to introduce using 901's, juice in mouth and everywhere else was a put off, Not to mention the battery charging merry-go-round.

It's been widely acknowledged that smoking is a leading cause of statistics, here's some :

True enough - a mate of mine who had previously tried a 103 and found it wanting was persuaded to invest in the £15 kit and a few cartos and an XL battery. He came into the studio last night giving it hot licks on the XL and carto, took lungfuls onstage - much to the chagrin of the only other smoker in the band - and thanked me profusely for putting him onto them as he left.

At £15 it's a no-brainer. And probably the best possible introduction to e-smoking in XL guise as it is, simply, the closest thing you'll get to smoking without smoking AND without the faff associated with some of the more esoteric kit that we love.
