Got a Groupon offer from Elites - fortunately they were over subscribed and took a while to send out so I ordered a kit from C9 my first mini ecig. I say fortunate cos when the elites arrived they tasted disgusting and sure to the day I would be still smokin - not vapin. Mini Ecigs - crap now - but it was great at the time and converted me, 35 years of smoking analogues not ever ever wanting to give up, currently on a RIVA 510 going thru all the carts and liquids on offer. Never ever going back and having spent too much on kits and samples will wait a few months before I come a VV, tanking, DIYER (I am one of these - already).
Sadly already hooked to the forums - waiting replies to my last post. I am sure this never happened when I picked up my Marl lights from the off licence.
Checked out the forum for NRT and no surprise that those suckers are struggling - suckers or vapers, 'vape on' I say !

I tried to quit analogs once, unsuccessfully in the US, but one of my "besties from the westies" told me about a Joye510. I decided to buy local and got an expensively cheap rendition of the 510. I quickly upgraded. I made it a month before going back to analogs. Then last month I decided again, this was it, I needed to quit. And I found a 510 online, some juices ect...and now that my fave US juice is here
Ill never go back!

Mate of mine rang up enthusing about Skycigs and how he'd come straight off the weed. I took his recommendation and managed to be off a 1/2 oz of rolling tobacco per day within 48 hrs. Brilliant! But those little things aren't enough for the medium term - been refilling their "disposable" carts for a couple of weeks now and they're fairly useless and pretty disgusting. Looking forward to getting something like a Screwdriver or Don very soon I hope. Should have done a bit more research first then spent the money more carefully. However, I'm saving four quid a day through not buying Golden Virginia, so who's complaining?
I was vaguely aware of vaping through seeing disposables on sale in petrol stations and the odd hoarding ad for Rok e-cigs, but had never heard of a mod and had no idea at the amount of stuff around till I discovered it all on the web.
Vaping just seems like the Get Out Of Jail Free card that most smokers never dared to dream of. How fantastic! More slaves to Madame Nic like me should know about it asap. Surely we're in at the start of something that could be enormous - and maybe save a lot of lives in the future?

Yes, it's just a shame that the arseholes running the country aren't likely to give a damn about saving lives, and more about listening to the lobbying pharmaceutics companies, and the massive back handers the tobacco industry will be slipping them, to ban these e-cigs.

I heard about them some time ago - can't recall where, might have been the radio or the telly - but at the time I didn't pay much attention to them.
Then a few months ago a friend of mine showed me a packet of generic e-cigs...the type that came in a fag-alike packet. I had a few tokes and was impressed enough to go and buy a chuck-away from the local petrol station.
It wasn't a great introduction to be honest, but it was at least good enough to plant that seed in my head.
Skip foward a few more months, and the development of a few health issues and a bit of a frank word from my doc and I figured it was time to look into the matter a little more deeply.
I'm glad I did, it's one of the more sensible things I've done.
And now I seem to be a sort of 'ambassador' for e-cigs. Given that I was nearly always seen out and about with a rollie on the go, I'm now seen toking on an SD Keyring.
This has drawn so much interest that I've taken to carrying around a couple of the cartos that come with them (they're not my kind of smoke), so that when people ask me about the cig I can pop one of the 'baccy' cartos on and let 'em have a tug.
Cheers,
Steve

My first was a VIP cig-a-like type.
Saw one being used, asked about it, then bought one as a joke, to walk into my older sisters puffing on it - I knew she would go mad.
It arrived, I charged it up popped on a carto and played with it.
Was intrigued with this new toy, swapped the battery when it ran out, then suddenly realised I had not smoked for seven hours and still didn't want one!
TBH the person I spoke to was just trying it having found them online and I thought it was probably a gimmick........not anymore!
Went online, found Scott Bonner, watched loads of reviews, then waded in with an order on liberty flights about a week later, once I had a good idea of what I wanted.
My EgoT from LF was great, better than the VIP, but after some enquiries I decided to swap tanks for 2.0 ohm boges and was blown away.
That was it for me, another few weeks of research and chatting on the LF forum and I put an order in for a Provari. I didn't want a shelf full of mods, I just told more experienced vapers what I was looking for and they suggested sone options.
I just chose the best one I could.
Been here ever since.

I'd seen them around, but I never felt like I wanted to give them a go, so I personally blame the luscious Jonny Depp for me being here.. in The Tourist, I just had to give it a go after seeing him vaping

First time I heard about them was on a Ryanair flight. I didn't try it then as I thought this was Michael O' Leary's latest money making racket. I suppose I was both right & wrong at the same time...........

I saw, and clicked on, an advert up the side of web page i was browsing. Showed a guy in a bar toking on a look-a-likey and blowing out 'smoke'. I thought ahhh interesting but didn't click for more info.
Then about two weeks later i was at langney market and on one of the stools was a pile of these look-a-likeys. They were £11.00 each with 10 cartridges. So i bought one. Two days later i ran out of tobacco and decided to see if i could rely on my new hope (health e cigarette) to sustain through my newest attempt to quit fags.
I was immediately impressed by how much vapour and hit i got from my first puff. I quickly realised, later that day, that the battery situation was gonna be a problem. I'm a brick layer and only break at 10.00am and 1.00pm. I didn't want to be messing bout with having to take 3 or 4 batteries to work with me every day and fuss about.
So bought an XPower 900. I think i hit the spot first time cos i have never felt the need to buy anything else. The one downside of my chosen e cig with the 900mah battery that lasts me a day and a half. Is that its a 301 thread fitting. I clearly would've had more choice and options if i had gone for something 510. But i am well happy with it. I have since bought an ego castletown (ego clone) with a 510 fitting and 1100mah batteries so i pretty much have my needs covered. I am happy. I now vape 0 nic in the evenings so as not to keep myself awake at night. I was getting too wired. If you know what i mean.
