Normally when writing more than a few words I write it in open office then copy paste when I'm ready to post, that way if you nuke the server all is not lost
"Please draft posts greater than about 100 words in a program such as notepad. When you are happy with the post, paying special attention to spelling, grammar and apostrophe placement, copy/paste the text into your new thread, or by way of reply. At this stage you can add emoticons or other attachments. PLEASE keep the original copy for the time being. Click the 'add' button. In most circumstances your contribution will upload without any problem.
However, should the datacentre break just as your contribution is being uploaded, save your original text until normal service resumes.
If the breakdown is simply due to a faulty hard drive washer for example, or a faulty power cable plug, then the averagely capable datacentre manager can resolve the problem quickly if he's not already gone to bed, and hopefully he'll have an assortment of quick repair items in the 'first aid' box. But if the problem requires the services of a plumber, expect a long wait, especially if it's after 6.00 p.m..
Aye. Thank you."
