As you'll all know, we had a horrendous amount of downtime on Thursday. This was down to the datacentre, which has been having problems on and off as late. My host naturally wants to get out of this datacentre ASAP, and I'm inclined to agree with him. The last thing I want is a repeat performance of Thursday.

Therefore, tomorrow we'll be moving servers. It will mean a likely several hours of downtime (though if we're lucky, and all being well, it'll just be a couple of hours). I'm sure that's not what everyone wants to hear right now so soon after almost a whole day's outage, but we'll be moving to a better server on a better connection and it'll be worth it in the long run.

The forum will probably go down at around 12pm tomorrow. By down, I mean it will be closed. This is to prevent posts being lost while the site is in transit as it were. You'll know when the move is complete as you'll see the forum open again.

Thanks for scheduling the move to coincide with the Villa v Blues kick off at noon, please try your hardest to be back online by about, say 2:30? Gives me time for a spot of lunch after the game that way ;)

Well there appears to have been a slight glitch and so the move can't go ahead quite yet. Hence I've reopened the forum.

Still hoping to do the move today but not sure what the exact time will be yet, so if you're planning on doing any large posts please make sure you copy them before you hit the post button, as I may not be able to give ample warning. I thought that would be better than having the forum down all day however. :)
