Well I can't quite believe it as the time has really flown by, but the forum opened its virtual doors exactly one year ago today.

During that time we've had our ups and downs, likely made some mistakes along the way and had some lessons to learn, but overall I'm very proud of this place and the members here. I'd like to thank you all for your participation and support of the forum and especially for being so helpful and welcoming to new members. Helping those new to vaping is especially important I feel, given that the internet is currently pretty much the only place people can find genuine advice and I think we do that pretty well. Thanks for the laughs, the friendships, the experimentations, the advice, the help with battling against the powers that be and the spreading of news.

A special thanks also of course to Crossbow and Prof Beard, both of whom have put in a great deal of effort to help me keep this place running. Without them this place certainly wouldn't be the same.

I did have this whole 'speech' planned, but honestly I'm not really one for speeches so I'll keep it short and to the point.

Yay, nice one Jackie. I love this forum and can honestly say that it has been a godsend in more ways than one :wub: .

E-cigs are not "quit smoking" devices - they are an alternative way to smoke, but with a much reduced risk profile. Believe this - it's true. E-cig users are NOT quitters.

Thank you for giving UK vapers a place to call home.ECF was frankly a nightmare for UK users and the size of the place made discussing UK-centric issues pretty much worthless since it was drowned out in a sea of Yank. Thank you to Crossbow and Prof and most of all thank you to you Jackie for handling the difficult task of running a forum with a perfect balance of order, friendliness and diplomacy. Happy Birthday UKV and long may it continue.
