As the forum has gotten busier, and my free time a little less, we (Prof Beard, Crossbow and myself) decided it was probably time to appoint a couple of new moderators. This will also allow me to retire from moderation duties and concentrate more on the technical aspects, keeping everything behind the scenes running smoothly, perhaps starting a new UKV project or two and generally helping to keep this place moving forward.
Choosing moderators is never easy as there are so many aspects to consider, but we think we've bagged a couple of diamonds. So, without further ado, please welcome DaveK and Blackbug as our new moderators.
I'd like to extend a personal thanks to them for agreeing to help out, it's very much appreciated!
One more change - in recognition of their hard work around here, I felt it time to promote (for want of a better word, they're not getting a pay rise after all!) Prof Beard and Crossbow. They've both been invaluable around here and devote a lot of time behind the scenes. We haven't quite decided on an exact title as yet, but they should be thought of as being in a sort of moderators supervisory role (although they will still be helping out with moderation as well).
So a huuuuge thank you to them both for being at my side through thick and thin, and not losing patience with me at times when it may have been quite easy to!
