Been reading thru this post, interesting on peoples views. Yes Qld is a nanny state, like i said but i feel its a lovely, safe place to bring up the kids. They are familiar with the rules of the land now after nearly 3 years here. They get a good telling off from the cops if found without a helmet on their bikes, next time caught they get a $50 fine. But a least i know they're safe with helmets on. Rules and regs like that are commonplace here. Must do this, must do that..........

The thing with having to many "must do this, can't do that" is that people stop thinking for themselves e.g.
Mcdonalds having to put "Caution Hot" on coffee cups that contain hot coffee
People falling into holes that have no barriers around them blame the hole maker and not that they weren't looking where they are going.
In the past these people would have gone due to natural selection and thus making the human race as a species smarter, but the way we have it the human race is getting stupider as a whole

You need to stay in bed in Queensland without authorisation. From the BBC today:

So, in Queensland you will need authorisation to get dressed.

I agree, they should be be made like vape in diffrent strenghs from clean-o-dick to full cheese-o-dick. Maybe even condoms for none-smokers.

Has actually happened to me in the past, so is a legit defence. (it's a physical possibility, and would mitigate the charge)

Mind you, with the way the state government works in QL, i'm surprised they haven't banned smoking in vehicles completely.

Probably didn't have a warning label on saying not to eat it..not your fault, it's an easy mistake to make without a warning label...just the other day i ate half of a Vauxhall viva by accident...i searched and searched for a 'do not consume' label but didn't find one..i was horrified that car makers could get away with this blatant shirking of safety procedure. How are we supposed to know?!

Thinking of taking legal action although they will probably just say what they always do..that it was before the do not eat label regulations came into effect, therefore they do not have to apply labels retrospectively to pre-regulation cars, only new ones.

That's all very well, but one of these days a kid is going to eat an old car, then what?! Oh yes, they'll do something about it then won't they!
