It is a hard thing to understand for sure. EMC is also a factor. The whole CE thing is geared around paying an outside approved company to help and guide you through to certification and the costs I imagine are not low. I have tried to understand the ins and outs but found it very complicated. As you say a vaping unit has not got a specific set of rules. It falls into low voltage, electrical and mechanical.

As it is not likely to cause interferance to other electrical equipment then a statement to the fact is supposed to help. Also you need to make sure your product has safety in mind from initial design through to manafacture and that quality controlls take place to ensure you make the finish goods to a repeatable standard. You need to document this and keep it updated. Apart from that I know no more. Good luck with trying to find any info and getting on the road to a ce mark. looking and trying to do this just makes my head spin and is not my forte. Any compliance house vapers out ther please help.
