Hello, I always make sure to wipe my fingers if I get e-liquid on them, but often scratch my face in between getting my hand to a tissue or hanky.
This means that my face has nicotine on it longer than my hands.
As a result I found this morning lots of red marks all over my face and quite an itch.
I understand that pure nicotine or anything higher than 7.5% can be disfiguring, but what about getting dabs of 1.8% nicotine on your face?
Will this clear up? Do I need to see my doctor?
Please advise.

The nicotine gum was invented because patches weren't considered recreational enough to attract smokers. Thus allowing one recreational product but banning another is very wrong.

Well it cleared up anyway. Just need to just splash some water on face every now and then to be sure.

I've found it can be quite irritating (BIG warning: don't rub your eyes if you've got nicotine juice on them: It doesn't half sting!!), but I don't think it will do any permanent damage. The biggest risk with nicotine in contact with your skin is poisoning through absorption, but the concentrations of nicotine in e-cig juice aren't high enough to cause any harm from the odd splash. I would advise washing your hands or face if you get any spills on them and don't let pets lick your hands if you have any juice on them

I think we all can go a bit overboard with fears about nic especially low concentrate. I have had load of e-juice 1.8% in my gob and swallowed it as a newbie but am still alive to tell the tale.

as Kenny says most of us have drink the stuff neat (obviously NOT on purpose!) and survived to tell the tale but when I started vaping last year I did get very dry skin at the corners of my mouth but that was more dryness from vaping than nicotine "rash"

Managed to get juice in both my eyes. Really stings but washed it out and was OK in the morning

Hate to ask this but how did you manage to get juice in both eyes
Was it the dreaded eye drop scenario?

I don't like the feeling of e-liquid on my hands and as I tend to fill up enough carts, cartos and tanks in one go for the week ahead, I always wear latex gloves. You can get large boxes of them from the pound shop
So as long as you're not allergic to latex it works pretty well.

In all seriousness mate...the advice is simple, don't touch / scratch / play with your face with nic juice on your hands, problem solved.

When I was blowing my cartos dry for refilling a few drops of eliquid shot into my eye. Burned like a bitch and really hurt - washed it out and I am fine - eliquid is not as dangerous as they claim it to be.

ive got a really dry, itchy, red t-zone from vaping. i thought it was the PG but after mucking about with different mixes it seems to not matter. ive come to accept this PITA as something that go's with vaping. ive drank way to much water, moisturized every day, cleansed toned and moisturized (advice from the wife) cant seem to shake it. the only thing that beats it half arsed was a salt wash every 2 days. mix the salt with facewash every 2 days. it seems to keep it at bay 'but doesnt get rid off it! if anyone has the right setup to get rid off this it would be nice! and dont tell me to drink more lol i drink about 3 litres off water a day.
