I love my e-cigs. I proudly vape around the office (outside with the smokers as the civil service can't tell the difference between e-cigs and analogues) many have asked me about e-cigs and I have waxed lyrical on the virtues of vaping. I have given advice and passed on info on many of the vendors from this site.

Unfortunately, e-lites have descended on Bromley. Setting up a stall outside Bromley South Station and many of my colleagues have said to themselves "Oh that's what Brit uses, I must get a starter kit while they're here." A few days later they come to me and say "these are e-cigs are shit!"
To which I have replied "Are they? I've never tried them."
"But...but... you said..."
"Did I recommend e-lites? - I think not!"

Many of the issues appear to be around the claims that one cartomiser will be the equivalent of 40 cigs. (BTW there new generation e-cig is based on cartomisers rather than cats and atties).

On my way home I stopped by the stall and tried one, not too bad flavour wise or TH but what I was really interested in was how much e-liquid was in each cartomiser.

The sales guy told me it was 2.4mg. I tried to explain that was more like the % of nicotine, but he informed that theirs was "a very pure nicotine liquid." :baffled:

Rather than :hissyfit:I decided to rush off to get my train.

Script monkeys, have to deal with a lot of them, regardless of your logic, you will always get a scripted reply, it's not worth the hassle, and to be fair, if you're not a vaper, you wouldn't know your ml from your mg.

I feel your pain here I really do! Why do friends not listen? Or even ask! I almost feel insulted. That said, my latest e-lite friend has one that works pretty well. Think they've gone down the carto road instead of those crappy '306 style' atty's that don't work. Still, it would be nice if they just consulted me. Friends.......who'd ave' em : D

Brittania... YOU ARE NOT ALONE

They've set up a perma-stall in the Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon.
http://www.thewhitgi...x?Unit_No=RMU -

Seeing my Orion as I was walking past, one of the script monkeys :) pulled me over saying "you look like like you're open to electronic cigarettes" lol
He stunk of cigarettes and when I said so he admitted he smoked "because his batteries often run out".
He tried, for about 10 mins, to convince me to buy a £50 lookalike set. As though!
I gave the strongest one a go and felt virtually nothing, although the flavour was O.K.
He kept calling the cartos atomizers as well. Even though I talked him through the differences several times.

If E-Lites (or worse... e-health £10-20 market jobbies, over 200% mark-up btw) lead people to safe havens like UK Vapers then fine. But I sometimes wonder if they do more harm than good.

I think someone needs to get out there, armed to the teeth, with Screwdrivers, Sparki SP3s and other good affordable devices.
I also think e-juice could be a bit cheaper, but what can you do?

Price of e-liquid has been my biggest gripe for a while now, but shop around and the prices are getting better. FlavourArt are now doing 100ml of 18mg unflavoured for around £15 in either PG/VG VG or PG and they'll mix it with any of their flavours for an extra £1.25, Most UK vendors are selling 30ml for around the same price so this has got to be one of the best value liquids on the market at the moment. They also do 100ml of 36mg for around £24.00 plus about a fiver for postage to the UK

To get back on topic, I bought my first e-cig in 2008 from a guy called Pillbox, it was one of the real cig lookalikes and it was utter shite, I persevered for about 2 weeks and couldn't wait to get back on the analogs. The experience put me off the whole idea of e-cigs for 2 years and anyone buying and using these is likely to have a similar reaction.

cig a likes have their place.. the place is light occasional use.. we have some for £6.99 they do work.. in fact they work when first fired up better than an ego does..

i would not recommend them for all day use but i would 100% dispute the suggestions that they do not work.. they do work and they work very well..

at £6.99 they are a bargain.. at £50 quid they would be a joke..

the down side.. none if they are used for light occasional use.. maybe the run time is a bit too short.. but without a doubt they work and they work well if used properly..

used as all day devices the little batteries soon wear out and the run time gets even less.. but while they are working they produce more vapour than the very popular ego.. the e lite ones should also work.. they are just over priced and mis-sold..

i would guess tesco are having problems with what they have been mis-selling.. its pretty obvious to me any bugger trying to get 30 fags worth out of one is gonna whinge like shi-t.. once again its not the device that is the problem its the m-s-selling..

the catch twenty two is that without the mis-selling (lies) no bugger buys them anyway.. he he

It's a little like expecting 'Quick Quid' or 'Wonga' to help get one out of debt! If anyone believes this tripe (or uses the arses) - they need special help. :)

Hmmm yes, this is why I always trust my government with every thing they tell me. I know those lovely men in suits have only my interests at heart!

and to think the name 'E-lites' came up in the vapers awards forum... there's doing business publically and drawing attention to vaping - then there's flogging over priced gear anywhere they can... they're becoming a plague.
