I agree with you there mate...Motion Sickness kills me too in a lot of games now and I have to limit the time I spend on them now!

Do like the odd online multiplayer FPS BUT hate the silly little gamer kids who are good but constantly taunt, swear and generally "piss off" the more "mature" gamer like me...!!! :hissyfit:

Later...

I only really play World Of Warcraft these days.
We did have a data secrion at the studios I ran several years ago. I remember having plisters from playing Defender, and Operation Wolf.
We were duplicating mass amounts of cassette based games in those days.

back in the good old days when i had a spectrum 48k i remember putting the tape into the old tape recorder and waiting an age for the games to load, sitting there with my fingers crossed praying it would work. i remember when the spectrum 128k came out and it seemed to me at the time that only posh people had them. i never did get a 128k (gutted) but i was fortunate to have a atari st and then a cmmodore amiga thanks to my saturday job at the butchers. nowadays i have an xbox 360 that hardly gets used as i am allways at fu**ing work. i got red dead, codmw, far cry2, and others that are still in the rappers since last year. i just dont seem to get time to sit down and play them. my favourite game from the old days has got to be cyclone for the spectrum, it was like desert strike on the megadrive. anyway i will piss off now as i have bored you to death, jonboy

Course not Jonboy...I'm the one that usually bores people half to death!
I quite liked Far Cry 1...might have a look at No 2, should be on budget label now too.

@MiDi and Darcy, Have you tried one of those long plastic things they attach to the arse end of cars for motion sickness?
;-)

sorry to pipe up again, if you go to GAMEXCHANGE UK they do an online trade in sevice. for anyone who has a few games to trade in they give very good trade in prices and they have a good selection of stuff on there too.

My son keeps trading games at various retailers but even though I keep telling him to look after them - he doesn't, and expects to get good trade-in prices for xbox 360 games with missing manuals and scratched disc!!!! Other day he was offered a staggering £2 for PES 2010. That'll teach him to take better care heh heh.

These days, there are more sites popping up that allow you to play retro games online: Spectrum and C64 for example (<< clickies). There are many others. It saves all the hassle of setting up and fiddling with emulators if you're not technically minded. Me? I'm a sucker for fiddling lol. In all honesty though, out of all the emulators I've tried, the Amiga one is the most complicated but only if you let it (there is a quickstart option). It's pretty damn accurate and one of the few emulators where it's constantly being updated.

How interesting! All the respondents are male - now what does that tell us? No really, I for one am genuinely interested in this phenomenon.

Hahaha Redkite, not entirely unexpected...and when they ain't gaming they're modding or taking things apart and putting them back together again :bulgy-eyes: .

Still, I'd be interested to know what their other halves are doing while they're gaming...What'you reckon? :sinister: .

My other half play games too. Mainly those at my website (Arcade room) where scores are recorded for others to beat. We occasionally play online Scrabble (which, funny enough, is how I met my wife in first place. :-) ). She whoops my arse - a lot! As for consoles - my wife is looking to get Zumba for the our xbox 360 soon.

I'm a pc gamer have been for years, started out on my parents Amstrad cpc464 (loved Harrier Attack) and Acorn Electron. Bought myself a dedicated gaming machine last year as a treat that gets used for nothing else, I mainly play rpg's favourite games are Mass Effect 1&2, The Witcher 1&2 and Dragon Age Origins.
Have been known to play a bit of the Sims 3 when the mood takes me
Also have a wii and have to agree on Mario Cart, loved the original better but this one is still pretty fine

Same case as mine :) How hot do the sli'ed cards get? I struggle getting air flow to the top one and it sounds pretty noise when under load.

I have a nice gap between the two cards on my motherboard and they are the MSI Twin Frozr II OCs. Top card is only idling at 40C right now and it's pretty warm in here. Bottom card is 34C. In the cooler months that goes down further.

Great twin fan design.

Helps that the CPU don't kick off much heat cos it's got a hefty Noctua strapped to it.
