UK Smoking Ban - 1st July 2007

CAMRA, along with other Pub and Licensing Associations are asking UK pub-goers to get behind their local now the complete smoking ban is in place.
The organisation's speak with one voice to promote pubs as: At the heart of thousands of communities all across the UK.
It’s now the ideal opportunity for those non smokers who have stopped going to the pub to reacquaint themselves with that great British institution. With new small breweries opening all the time, we now have the chance to properly savour the unadulterated taste of a nation's ales in a smoke free atmosphere."
It's important that the public recognise that their local pub is one of their local community's assets and one that they should be supporting.
Publicans will be doing everything they can to make their customers' visits even more welcoming and we would ask for the support of the pub-going public in making sure that the pub remains at the heart of thousands of communities all across the UK
There can be no doubt most publicans face a testing time thanks to the ban, but as always business are ready to change and adapt.

The Smoking Ban for all enclosed spaces came into affect in England on 1st July 2007.

You'd think that they would embrace vaping to support our pubs but they don't :(

All the real ale enthusiasts I know make their own which probably doesn't help the pub trade either...
