I have noticed recently that if I play with my vapour, something I never used to do with smoke it was just a case of breath it in and fire it out, however with vaping I seem to have built up a habit of releasing it slowly and playing with the vapour!
Anywho back on topic I have noticed that if I play with the vapour, often with it touching my face I seem to be better sore eyes at the end of a night and sometimes in a morning when vaping in the car on my way to work.
Im also pretty sure this happens alot more when a vape juices that are higher in percentage of PG, I think I am possibly slightly allergic to PG as it can sometimes give me a slightly tight chest and the throat kick is massively stronger than that of a vg based juice with the same nicotine content. Im just wondering if it likely to be the PG that is giving me sore eyes or is it nothing to do with vaping at all?
The reason I still like to enjoy a bit of PG is because sometimes later in the evening VG just doesnt do it for me, which leaves me with the option of either increasing my nicotine with VG at the end of the night which I really dont want to do or pick up a PG carto and really feel the throat hit, however I do think its giving me a couple of problems
PG and sore eyes?

Currently Vaping:
Not a lot, vaping has not only got me off the fags but since moving to zero nicotine I no longer feel the need to vape either!
I owe vaping alot without even trying too I have managed to quit smoking and avoided potential future health problems. Im in control of if I inhale anything now not the fags!
Thanks everyone

No one else ever experienced sore eyes from vaping?
Guess it must be something else causing my sore eyes then.

Haven't noticed any eye soreness Rob, but PG does make my nose run and sometimes bleed slightly if I overdo it. Vg is a bit thick for cartos. I find a 50:50 mix to work well on all counts.
...I am not young enough to know everything...

I too haven't had soreness but my eyes are quite dry and sometimes a bit itchy. I also have a runny nose which can get a bit sore sometimes. I guess the best way to describe it is like very mild hayfever. I used to get it very badly as a child but it disappeared in my teens...until I started vaping.
I'm a 100% PG user and suffered from rashes when I first started vaping so I assume I'm still mildly allergic ...more bearable than VG 'though

Yeah I could say my symptoms are similar to mild hay fever!
Im thinking of trying a few anti histamine and jut see if that lets my body get on top of whatever it is.
Also how do you mean a bit thick for cartos lil ive been using pretty thick VG liquid for 5 weeks or so now in my cartos without any real problems? However there is something I am probably missing, only thing I have noticed is I cant get anywhere near as many drops of VG in as PG, but I put this down to the viscosity

I've always tended to slightly dry eyes anyway so I've not noticed any difference, i'm afraid. My old contact lens guy explained that smokers 'ooze' (he was anti, naturally, lol). Apparently a smokers secretions of all sorts are more sticky than a non-smokers which is why they always seem to have more problems with contacts and need the ones that are super hydrophilic.
I reckon that the liquid in my eyes should be more watery now I vape but since glycols love water too, I've just replaced one drying thing with another lol.
Btw The lens guy and another research-based medic I know have both told me that our generation is one big longitudinal contact lens experiment and not to put them in for about an hour after waking up to minimise the main risk they think exists because, first thing, ones eyes are sticky and it takes about one hour for them to free up and clear the surface. Its important this happens because oxygen to the eye is delivered through surface irrigation and the amount available is reduced by the stickyness and, they know, the contact lens. How important this reduced oxygen availability is over a long time no-one knows yet. Short term it doesn't seem to matter.

Wow, I specifically came onto the forum tonight to see if there was anything about runny noses and sore eyes, I've been vaping for a month and have both, but it's only come on in the last 48hrs or so; it's been approx 10 days since my last fag so I was wondering whether it was tobacco withdrawal or just a side effect of vaping, btw I am strictly a VG/PG person. I was also thinking that it might be a change in juice I've been going at the RY4 quite hard for the last few days, not because I like it that much, but it's strangely addictive in a way other juices aren't. Anyway just thought I'd put my 2p's worth in.

Yep, I've definitely noticed occasional dry eyes, and an itchy nose when exhaling primarily through there. Some people at a work party remarked that I looked like I'd been snorting coke all day with how often I was rubbing my nostrils. Neither are at a level where it's particularly annoying, though, really. Just noticable. My nose doesn't actually RUN, which is a good thing!
It's nothing on what's been happening more recently, though, which is worrying me a lot more. I'll make another thread on that, or do a proper search here (just signed up!) later to see if anyone else is experiencing it. I think it's a VG issue, but not entirely certain after recent events...

Antihistamins seemed to clear mine up ever when I was still vaping PG hih ratio juices my eyes were fine when I was on the antihistamin, however my body dislikes PG alot more than just my eyes so I have had to drop my PG right out anyway

I don't get dry and itchy eyes, but I do find that my eyes sting a little if I'm doing a lot of yawning and they water. I've heard that getting ejuice in your eye is not a very pleasant experience, I think that a very thin film of residue builds up on your skin when you vape, which somehow manages to works its way into your eye if they water.

I've recently started getting sore and swollen skin around my eyes whilst vaping after I stopped wearing glasses. Been vaping for a few years without a problem up to now, but found some suggestions that PG in aerosol form can irritate the sensitive skin around the eyes.
I am awaiting delivery of some VG nic base to mix with to replace my PG Nic base to gather further evidence, but would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced increased sensitivity after prolonged vaping.
