Used my Ego T and 510n at Edinburgh airport and at southampton no problem. Flybe didn't bother me either whilst i used it on plane.
I put my liquid in the clear bag they give you along with loaded clearomiser.
the rest went trhough xray. Customs even let me vape whilst going through. so they could get a wiff and asked were to buy them.

I was concerned about this. I've got a 12 hour flight coming up. My main concern was that I would have my stuff confiscated at customs.

My plan is just to take 1 battery and 1 mega Tornado Cartomizor filled with Juice, and put my Juice, spare Carts and Batteries in my checked in luggage.

Do you think i would have to put my Cartomizor in the Liquids bag at security? I know it's not a liquid but it is absorbed liquid.

And will the vapour set off the smoke alarms in the Toilet?

I recently went to Greece for a wedding (flying from Gatwick) and put my eGo case with a couple of batteries, a small (5ml) bottle of eLiquid, a couple of boge cartos, a tank atty, and two tank carts (be prepared dib dib dib) in my hand luggage which went through the scanner with no problems. Perhaps the vast amount of junk I had in there obfuscated the scanner?

Also, I stealth vaped in the departure lounge pub, and on the plane. No one said anything. I think making either unflavoured or very weak flavoured juice helps. If you're producing a stink then people will notice no matter how stealthy you are.

had a great holiday, great food and nice weather. Just getting over a stinking cold that I got on the plane on the way home. In gatwick I asked a security person about vaping and he said " they bloody hate them things here, no problem mate just carry on"!! So I had a stealthy vape with a couple of cups of coffee, no one noticed. Through customs I had my eGo in my jacket pocket, the spare in its case in my flight bag and the juices in a clear bag. No problem. No problem at the airport in Turkey either and none in Turkey either. There was one other vaper there, a young pretty russian girl who I couldn't understand. I had a couple of stealthy vapes on the plane out there in my seat and one in the loo on the way home.
No problem at all but I should have taken more juice with me, next time I will. I think with the heat and the booze the juice doesn't last as long!!!

Posted ImageI had 2 flights last year where I took my Ego, the first to Thailand from Heathrow I had my liquids (10 ml) bottles in a clear bag along with the Ego and when it went through the scanner a female security officer picked it up and asked what it was. I explained and she seemed intrigued. She asked about the liquids and asked if it was okay to do a quick drugs test on then which I agreed, it was done in a minute or 2 and she handed them back, no problem.

The second time was at security in Bristol airport once agai when the scanned my bag it was pulled aside, the security officer asked me if I had a laser pointer in my bag, I said no and took out my Ego and said it was an e-cig, he said "Oh that's fine, as long as it's not a laser pointer"!

I also flew to Jersey three times since and then a couple of weeks ago to Spain, no problems what so ever. I just follow the rules, any liquids in hand luggage in a bag. I carry 2 Ego's complete with filled cartomisers assembled in a case in my hand luggage when I fly and will continue to do so. I do not need to vape on a flight as I can go for 12+ hours without vaping, if I need to.

I have done at least 40 flights with my kit to destinations including Europe, North and South America, Africa and Canada.
I've never had anything confiscated but i have had questions asked.
I use my ego's right the way through the trip, in the airport and on the flight.
Here are my tips -

Only have one full battery (ego will last most trips) and one or two atomisers in your hand luggage. Also just one or two 5ml bottles of juice. Check everything else in, inside your hold bags.

Disassemble the E-cig completely before security. Put the liquid in the see-through bag with your other liquids.

If security ask questions use language like 'nicotine inhaler' and 'stops me from smoking'.

Always be stealthy when vaping. Hold the inhale in or exhale very slowly so the vapour dissipates in the lungs. Cover up the LED when it lights.

I asked at the information desk in Schiphol if it was okay to vape. The guy had never seen ecigs but after I explained he said 'well if it is just water vapour no reason why not'. So i found a quiet spot and vaped away on my ego without any comments.

I must admit laughing inside at the smokers stuck inside their glass boxes filled with lungbursting amounts of smoke thinkng 'if only you knew'.
