Sometimes a toke on my apex ultra is very rough (could be the atomiser is too hot, or not enough juice direct dripped, no idea) ..and for the last 4 days I've woken up with a very dry, sore throat and thought I was getting a cold. No cold is forthcoming, so is it the vaping perhaps?

Should I try a different different juice?

Also any ideas on the most easy flowing PV? I don't fancy carts or cartomisers, so do tanks offer the flavour of direct dripping without the faff?

Cheers.

Drink, drink and more drink. PG is very drying and so is VG to a certain extent. You may find you're better with some added VG in your juice to smooth it out. The same thing happened to me and now it's gone using 70% PG and 30% VG. Plus it can be a symptom of giving up the cancer sticks. Hang in there, it should pass.

As for tanks, I don't fancy them myself, I only use Boge cartomisers and love them.

Pixie Juice Menu: Signature juice - Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream. Others: Blackcurrant Ice. Double Mint, Vanilla Ice Cream. Still tweaking more.
Berry Chewits Berry Chewits is no more thanks to the concentrate recipe being changed by the manufacturers who also didn't indicate this on their website. Thanks for that, not!

My favorite pre-mixed juices: Grizwalds Strawberry Ice Cream. Copper Creek Apricot Danish. Kentucky Vanilla Blend. Kentucky No 7

Thanks Cyberpixie!

I will go on a more-water drive and see if that helps. :-)

Where do you buy your boges by the way? I'd like to try one.

I get mine in bulk from health cabin (china) as they work out around £2.80 a pack. However, you can get them from liberty flights, vapeescape and numerous other places for around £5.50 for 5.

Unfortunately there is no real substitute for dripping. A Vape mate from Cloud 9 will make dripping easier, well some get on great with it, but I've never tried it myself.

Another option, the one I've settled on, is a bottom feed juice system - these are only available as a box mod - some love em, some just can't have a box, even a nice hand crafted wooden box.

And the last option is the tanks, if you hate cartos then the clearomiser tanks are a decent option - these typically hold about 5mls of juice, they have great flavour but can often suffer from a weaker throat hit.

As CP says drink plenty of water - dehydration can be a problem for vapers which ever way you choose to vape

I hope your sore throat goes away soon. I'll not repeat the v good advice so far but just add that the type B tank Ego atomisers are the best for me so far by way of tanks. The flavour is better than on a type A tanks imho. So far I've only tried the LR versions but they last ages too (unlike the LR type As) and can carry just under 2ml.
On the cold front, I used to get colds once or twice a year when I smoked. This year, hubbie came home from a business trip with an absolute stinker and all I got was a bit of a sore throat, slight sniffles and a feeling of things not being quite normal. Miracles happen lol!

What everyone else said about drinking. Also, as a newbie I've been getting this on and off and have found that using mouthwash helps. I read somewhere that the juice puts a bit of a coating on your mouth and throat and that mouthwash will help shift it. It certainly seems to have done for me.

Hope you feel better soon.

I hammered the VR in a clearo at work last night, slept this morning and woke up with a throat like razorblades! Hammering the mystic cherry that came in the post this morning now, so not helping matters much......but it's just so lush!! :p
Bit of listerine gargle tonight methinks ;)

I have found over the many months i have been a vaper that most PG only juices will give you a bit of a sore throat as will a vapour that is too hot, i only vape 100% VG which on occasion has given me a sore throat. Drinking plenty of water does help as does drinking plenty of wine, beer the odd vodka and coke lol .

I used to get sore throats with 100% PG. Switched to VG and sore throat is a problem more. I definately have to consume more liquid than when I smoked which doesn't seem a bad trade off for me ;)

i always have a sore throat in the morning but did have before i started vaping too. i think its normal for anyone to wake up with a sore throat, a drink strait away cures it. nothing to worry about
